Last date for admission to PG Super Specialty Courses extended till May 25: NMC

New Delhi: Referring to the Directions issued by the Supreme Court of India, the National Medical Commission has notified today that the last date of admission to PG Super Specialty courses has been extended up to May 25, 2022.

Therefore, the apex medical body has clarified that the online portal for filling up the details of the candidates who took admission in PG Super Specialty courses shall be reopened from May 25 to May 27.

"As per the directives of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and Notice dated 13.05.2022 issued by Medical Counseling Committee, the last date of admission to PG Super Specialty course has been extended till 25th May, 2022," NMC mentioned in the public notice.

Mentioning that the date for online filling up of details has also been extended, NMC added, "All the Medical Colleges/Institutes in India are hereby informed that the online portal for filling up the details of candidates who took admission in PG Super Specialty courses, shall be reopened from 25th to 27th May, 2022."
Requesting all the medical colleges to fill in the requisite data within the stipulated time, NMC mentioned, "No physical/manual data will be accepted whatsoever is the reason."
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the National Medical Commission (NMC) had earlier issued a notice and mentioned the last date for NEET PG and NEET SS admissions. While last date for admission into postgraduate courses was fixed at May 7, 2022, for the Super Specialty D.M/M.Ch/DNB courses the date ended on April 30, 2022.

Earlier, the apex medical body had directed all the medical colleges to upload the Postgraduate admission related data on portal within May 9, 2022. Recently, the Medical Counselling Committee directed the Medical Colleges to furnish data of offline admission in Round-2 of NEET SS Counselling 2021 within May 14, 2022.

The MCC notice dated 13.05.2022 read, "This is for information to the colleges/universities/institutes who have not updated the admission of the candidates allotted in Round-2 of SS Counselling-2021 to the colleges/universities/institutes online on the INTRAMCC Portal and have given offline admission letters to the candidates shall urgently report to MCC with the list of candidates and copy of the offline admission letter provided to the candidates to the E-mail colleges.superspeciality@gmail.com latest by 4:00PM of 14.05.2022 after which no such query shall be entertained by MCC of DGHS and the admission of the candidates will stand cancelled."
