MBBS, BDS Admissions 2021: DME Assam issues notice for EWS category candidates
Assam: Through a recent notice, the Directorate of Medical Education Assam (DME Assam) has invited applications from the EWS category candidates for MBBS and BDS admissions this academic year.
All concerned candidates intending to pursue MBBS and BDS from Assam based medical and metal colleges are hereby advised to take note of the following details as released by the counsellingbody on its official website:
"In reference to the rule 5.2 of the Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into 1st year MBBS/BDS courses) (Amendment) Rules, 2021 and also appeal of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam in electronic media, general category candidates whose names appeared in Assam state NEET-UG-2021 merit list who are otherwise eligible as per MBBS/ BDS admission rules 2017 amended upto 2021, for admission under state quota into 1st year MBBS/BDS courses in the Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam for the session 2021 and who did not opt for EWS category at the time of applying for NEET-UG-2021, the interested candidates can now apply for EWS category to the office of the undersigned and are directed to apply in the prescribed format available in the official website of this Directorate www.dme.assam.gov.in for inclusion into EWS category," said the notice.
