MCC informs on withdrawal of MD Dermatology seat from Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute

NEW DELHI- Through a recent notice, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed about the withdrawal of a seat from Round-2 of PG medical Counselling 2020.

As per the official information, 1 PG medical seat belonging to NRI category from MD Dermatology course has been withdrawn from one Tamil Nadu based medical institute. The same has been done in order to reserve a seat for a concerned petitioner in a case heard at Madras High Court recently.

The notice clearly notifies that the Hon'ble Madras High Court vide Order dated 06.05.2020 in "Writ Petition No.7586 of 2020 in the matter of Swetha Shri Selvakumar v/s Union of India & Ors." has directed to reserve one seat in MD Dermatology Course under NRI Quota in Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute for the Petitioner Candidate.

Therefore, the MCC has withdrawn the following MD seat contributed earlier towards the NEET PG Counselling 2020:

The MCC had released the schedule for Round 2 of online counseling (Allotment Process) for NEET 50% AIQ, Deemed, Central Universities, AFMS (MD/MS/Diploma and MDS) seats 2020 academic session.

Transfer of Non-Reporting & Non Joining /Vacant seats of 50% All India PG Quota seats to State Quota (at 6:00 PM) 18th June 2020

The counseling body had earlier informed about the deadline for the Resignation of PG Medical seats allotted under All India quota (AIQ) Round-1 counseling due to ongoing coronavirus outbreak and lockdown.

Keeping in view the arduous situation due to COVID-19 outbreak, it has been decided by the Competent Authority to allow the Candidates who have joined their allotted college of Round 1 (both online/offline mode), to resign from their allotted seat by 5:00 p.m. of 1st June 2020 (Monday).

Colleges are also requested to E-mail the resignation letter to the candidates.

MCC is conducting the counseling for the following Institutions/Universities:-

a) 50% All India Quota seats of all states except J&K.

b) 100% seats (All India Quota seats + Institutional Quota seats) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/ Central Institutes as per eligibility conditions mentioned in Important Questions related to Scheme of Counselling duly uploaded on MCC website.

c) 100% seats of Deemed Universities.

d) 50% AIQ P.G seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation (wards of ESIC insured persons).

e) All P.G seats of Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions(only Registration part).

f) Central Institutes, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, ABVIMS & RML Hospital and ESIC Institute, PGIMSR, Basaidarapur(50% All India Quota seats, and 50% seats of I.P University).
