The Supreme Court on February 8 asked the MBBS passouts seeking extending one-year internship deadline beyond May 31, criteria for aspirants for NEET PG 2022, to make a representation to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). Earlier this deadline was for May 31, 2022.
NEET PG 2022 internship cut off date had then been made to July 31, 2022.
"In continuation of the NBEMS notice dated 04.02.2022 and pursuant to the directions of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Govt. of India vide its letter no. F. No. U11011/06/2021-MEC dated 15.02.2022, the cut-off date for completion of internship for the purpose of eligibility for NEET-PG 2022 has been extended to 31.07.2022," read the NBE notification. The cut-off for completion of internship as mentioned in the clause 4.1, 4.3, 4.10 and 13.2 of the information bulletin for NEET-PG 2022 should therefore be read accordingly, the notice had added.
As per the recent notification issued to this effect by the MCC on its website, the AIQ counselling body has taken the decision considering that the National Medical Commission (NMC) is still in the process of issuing new Letters of Permission, LoP's to the medical colleges for this academic year. Thus, the MCC has rescheduled the NEET PG counselling so more MD, MS or PG Diploma seats can be added to the seat matrix accordingly.
