Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) released the counselling details for admission to Super Specialty courses.
As per the notice, Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) conducts Post-doctoral/Super Specialty training at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi, primarily to cater for the requirement of doctors in the Armed Forces. After the introduction of Common Counseling as per the direction of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, all DM/MCh seats at AFMC, Pune and DNB-SS seats at AH (R&R), Delhi Cantt are a part of the common counselling at the national level under Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), DGHS, MoHFW and all candidates are eligible for the same.
The common counselling for all seats of NEET-SS at the National level will be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), MoHFW. Hence, all eligible candidates desirous of admission to Super Specialty courses {DM/MCh/DNB(SS)} in AFMS institutions for the 2022 session will have to register mandatorily on the portal for Super Speciality counselling on the MCC website: www.mcc.nic.in.

Categories -
Serving officers of the AFMS -
1. AFMS officers who have been granted Study Leave.
2. Medical Officers sponsored by Para Military Forces / other Government of India organizations: A Sponsorship Certificate as per Appx' A' issued by the sponsoring authority to the candidate, specific to the subject allotted, is a mandatory requirement for admission. Any priority candidate leaving the seat after admission to the AFMS Instt must submit an application duly signed by a competent authority delegated by the sponsoring organization.
Ex-SSC AFMS officers -
1. Officers released from service after completion of contractual service, within three years after the release from service, are eligible for admission with no service/bond liability. The release date should not be before 31 Dec 2019 for 2022 session.
2. Officers who have resigned from the commission/dismissed/removed from service/ not completed the contractual service are not eligible under this category.
3. Ex-AFMS officers with a date of release from service before 31 Dec 2019 will have service/bond liability as applicable to civilian doctors (Priority V).
Civilian doctors -
1. Maximum permissible age shall be less than 30 years as on 31 Dec 2022 (i.e. date of birth is on or after 01 Jan 1993) to fulfil the service liability mentioned here under.
2. A doctor who fails the course and thus crosses the age of 35 years as of 31 Dec 2025 will not be eligible for commission in the Armed Forces and would have to pay the cost of training for the entire course duration.
3. The candidate should be willing to serve the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) for 05 years, subject to fulfilling other eligibility criteria. The candidate will have to execute a bond agreement as per Appx' B'at the time of admission to pay a sum of Rs. 5600000 to Govt. of India for the session 2022-25 in case unwilling to join AFMS when offered commission on completion of the course.
4. Civilian doctors will have to undergo a medical examination by a duly constituted medical board at admission to assess their fitness for commissioning per the criteria. They will be admitted only if found medically fit.
Qualifications – Candidate must have MBBS & MD/MS/DNB Degrees registered with State Medical Council or MCI. Students who have completed/are competing Post-Graduation by 31 Dec 2022 are eligible for admission along with Provisional Registration Certificate.
The candidate must be a citizen of India.
A candidate already pursuing any Super Speciality course shall not be eligible for admission to another Super Speciality course in the Academic Year 2022-23.

A total of 40 seats are recognized. AFMC Pune has 10 seats, and Army Hospital Delhi has 30 seats recognized.

Process of Admission and Medical Examination –
1. Document Verification by the Board of Officers on the reporting day. Candidates are to report on 02 Dec 2022 positively.
2. Medical Examination of the candidates by a separate Board of Officers over 2-3 days.
3. Declaration of medical Examination results by Presiding Officers of Medical Examination on 05 Dec 2022.
4. Candidates found MEDICALLY FIT will submit the Surety Bond agreement and deposit their original documents on 06 Dec 2022.
The candidates should arrange their boarding and lodging for approximately 04- 05 days. Candidates are advised to report to the allotted institute positively on 02 Dec 2022 at 09:00 am after confirming the result of online counselling as specified. Candidates have to report an empty stomach for the medical examination.
Documents to be brought at the time of admission –
1. 06 (Six) passport-size latest photographs.
2. Copy of the NEET-SS 2022 Admit card.
3. NEET-SS 2022 Score Card.
4. Copy of Class X/SSLC/ICSE certificate as a valid certificate of proof of age.
5. Copy of University Mark Sheet of first to final MBBS examinations and Post- Graduation course.
6. Copy of Internship Completion Certificate.
7. Copy of Permanent/Provisional State Medical Council Registration Certificate of MBBS & Post graduation course
8. Copy of MBBS & Post-Graduation degrees (Passing Certificate if the degree has not been received.)
9. Copy of Nationality Certificate/Xerox copy of valid Passport/Domicile Certificate/Birth Certificate.
10. Copy of Attempt Certificate (MBBS & MD/MS/DNB as applicable).
11. Copy of Transfer Certificate for non-AFMC candidates.
12. Copy of Migration certificate for non-MUHS candidates.
13. Copy of Aadhaar Card.
14. Sponsorship Certificate in case of Medical Officers sponsored by Para-Military Forces/Govt. of India organization. A sponsorship Certificate issued by the sponsoring authority should be specific to the subject allotted and is a mandatory requirement for the candidate to be considered for admission as a sponsored candidate.
15. In the case of Ex AMC SSC Officers, a release order from Armed Forces Medical Services was issued by DGAFMS/concerned Medical Directorate.
16. Civilian candidates, if selected, will be required to execute a bond agreement at the time of admission to pay a sum of Rs. 56,00,000 to Govt. of India for the session 2022-25 in case unwilling to join AFMS when offered commission on completion of the course as per GoI letter No: 17436/DGAFMS/DG- 1D/334/21/D(Med) dated 15 Mar 2021. The bond is to be executed on a Rs 500/- non-judicial stamp paper registered/notarized with the sub-registrar's office and submitted at the time of admission expenses in connection with the registration of the Bond Agreement are to be borne by the respective candidate.
The candidates note that admission to DM/MCh and DNB (SS) courses at AFMS institutions is provisional subject to confirmation/ ratification by the O/o DGAFMS, MUHS Nashik, MCI& NBE. Candidates are free to seek any clarification before accepting a seat during counselling.
