7000 MBBS seats across 41 Medical College for Gujarat NEET 2025 counselling, check institute wise seat matrix
New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) recently published the MBBS seat matrix for the academic year 2025-26 NEET admissions, revealing a total allocation of 7000 MBBS seats across 41 medical colleges in Gujarat, including both government and private institutions.
Prominent colleges such as B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad, Government Medical College, Surat, MP Shah Medical College, Jamnagar, Medical College, Baroda, and Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad have the highest intake of 250 MBBS seats each. These institutions continue to play a central role in Gujarat’s healthcare education landscape.
A notable addition is AIIMS Rajkot, which has been allotted 50 seats, aligning with AIIMS Madurai in Tamil Nadu, reflecting a phased expansion of AIIMS institutes across India.
Several GMERS Medical Colleges, such as those in Gandhinagar, Gotri (Vadodara), Junagadh, and Sola (Ahmedabad), have each 200 seats, showcasing the state’s reliance on the GMERS network to provide widespread medical education.
