New Delhi: The admission process for NEET PG 2021 at the institutes of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) is about to begin. The candidates who are seeking AFMS PG medical admissions are hereby advised to check out all the pertinent counselling details including schedule, and eligibility criteria mentioned below.

As per the admission notification, Armed Forces Medical Services Conducts Advanced Specialist/ Post Graduate training primarily for the doctors of Armed Forces Medical Services. The candidates eligible to apply for MD/MS/DMM seats at various AFMS PG institutions are (in order of preference):-

Priority-I: Eligible serving officers of the AFMS

Priority-II: Foreign students sponsored by Government.

Priority-III: Medical officers sponsored by Para Military Forces/ other Government of India organizations.

Priority-IV: Ex-SSC AFMS officers released from service after completion of contractual service, within three years after the release from service (i.e, the date of release should not be before 01 May 2018 or after 31 Jan 2022) for the session starting from 01 Feb 2022. The date has been extended due to Covid pandemic Officers who have resigned the commission/ dismissed/ removed from service/ not completed the contractual service are NOT ELIGIBLE under this category.

Priority-V: Civilian doctors willing to serve in the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) for 05 years after completion of the course subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria. The candidate will have to execute a bond agreement to pay an amount as sanctioned by the Govt. of India at the time of admission, if unwilling to join AFMS, when offered commission on completion of the course.

PG Courses are available in the following AFMS institutions:-

• Armed Forces Medical College, Pune

• Army Hospital (Research & Referral), Delhi Cantt.

• INHS Asvini, Mumbai.

• Command Hospital (Air Force), Bangalore.

• Command Hospital (Eastern Command), Kolkata.

• Command Hospital (Western Command), Chandimandir.

• Command Hospital (Central Command), Lucknow.

• Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Bangalore.

Eligibility criteria for admission in PG courses -

A candidate must be a citizen of India (except Priority II candidate).

Age criteria:- AFMS Officers: As per extant training rules of AFMS. Sponsored candidate: As per Govt. of India rules. Civilian candidates: Maximum permissible age will be 30 years on 31 Dec 2022 (DOB on or after 01 Jan 1993).

Candidates must have MBBS Degree registered with State Medical Council or MCI. Students who have completed/ are completing internships by 30 Sep 2021 can apply along with a provisional registration certificate.

The candidate must have appeared in NEET- PG 2021 and scored a minimum 50th percentile score.

There is no reservation based on caste/ religion etc. and the selection will be purely on the basis of merit.

A candidate who is already pursuing any postgraduate course shall not be eligible for admission to another PG course in the academic year 2021

The number of candidates to be admitted in any discipline will be determined by the number of PG teachers available, the student-teacher ratio, and any other criteria laid down by the MCI/ affiliated universities from time to time. The exact number of available seats will be communicated to the counseling committee prior to the counseling session.

Candidates admitted will have a service liability/bond liability binding as per Govt of India instructions on the subject.

For counseling, all eligible candidates desirous of pursuing PG courses at AFMS institutions for the session commencing from Feb 2022 will have to register on the DGHS website for AFMS counseling. Seats will be allotted in merit in order of preference. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they meet the requisite eligibility criteria; final eligibility will be ascertained at the time of admission. Civilian doctors will have to undergo a medical examination by a duly constituted medical board to assess their fitness for commission as per laid down criteria and be admitted only if found fit.

List of certificates to be produced/ submitted in original by selected candidates on the day of counseling/admission –

06 (six) Passport size photographs.

Copy of the NEET - PG 2021 admit card.

Print out of registration details page from the DGHS website www.mcc.nic.in for counseling.

NEET-PG 2021 scorecard as published by NBE.

SSLC/ICSE certificate as a valid certificate of proof of age.

Nationality certificate/Xerox copy of valid passport and domicile certificate (where applicable)/Birth certificate endorsed with nationality as India on it.

First of final year MBBS mark sheets of the respective university.

MBBS pass certificate/degree certificate

Internship completion certificate.

Permanent/provisional State Medical Council registration certificate.

Attempt certificate. (xii) Transfer certificate/Migration certificate.

Educational Gap affidavit if any.

An allotment letter will be published on the website after counseling is over.

Priority III Candidates - Subject-specific sponsorship certificate (as per format available on the website) issued by the respective Para Military/ other Govt of India organization is mandatory.

Priority IV Candidates - In the case of Ex-AMC/SSC Officers, a release order from Armed Forces Medical Services by DGAFMS/ concerned Medical Directorate and a movement order from the last unit for proceeding on release will be required to be shown in original at the time of counseling and admission.

Schedule of counseling for admission to pg courses in AFMS PG institutions for NEET PG 2021 –

Priority I & II - 20 to 21 Jan 2022 - By Video Conferencing on an online platform.

Priority III - 22 Jan 2022 - By Video Conferencing on an online platform.

Priority IV - 22 Jan 2022 - By Video Conferencing on an online platform.

Priority V - 24-25 Jan 2022 (Counselling will be held Offline) - Armed Forces Medical College Solapur Road Wanowrie Pune – 411040

The MCC has notified the following details –

Merit-wise list for Priority III, IV & V will be notified after the process of registration is over.

Groups will be created for all the Priorities separately and all relevant information including the link for online counseling will be shared with the candidates. All are requested to join the group with their mobile number registered with NBE having internet connectivity.

Candidates in Priority I to IV are required to log in to the link which will be forwarded to them before the day of counseling, 01 hours before the scheduled time of the counseling. All candidates have to be ready with their laptops or smartphones with a proper network, audio and visual. If any candidate will not be able to log in for the online counseling at the time of his/her merit, then he/she has to be available telephonically when contacted over the phone. An alternate mobile number may also be given.

Seat availability for each Priority will be uploaded in the evening at 1800 hrs before the respective days of counseling.

The registered Priority V candidates desirous of joining AFMS Institutes are to report to AFMC, Pune on 24 Jan 2022 at 0730 hrs.
