Pune: The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has informed about the cancellation of NEET PG Mop-up Counselling session

"Subsequent to the notification issued by MCC on 08 Nov 2022 on their website, it is intimated that the notice for AFMS Mop Up round of PG counseling 2022, uploaded on our website on 09 Nov 2022 STANDS CANCELLED," stated the AFMS notice.

Fresh dates for the AFMS Mop up round will be intimated shortly, it added.

As per the earlier notice, the mop up round counselling for 20 seats were supposed to conducted today at 7.30 am.

PG Courses are available in following AFMS institutions for Mop Up round of counseling as per the matrix below:-

(a) Armed Forces Medical College, Pune

(b) Army Hospital (Research & Referral), Delhi Cantt.

(c) Command Hospital (Central Command), Lucknow

(d) INHS Asvini, Mumbai

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

(a) A candidate must be a citizen of India

(b) Candidates NOT holding any seats in All India NEET PG 2022 counseling and whose names do not appear in the seat allotment list published by MCC.

(c) Only Priority III, IV & V candidates of AFMS matrix may apply. Priority I are not eligible for the mop up round. All candidates should have registered on the MCC website for the mop up round.

(d) Age criteria :-

(i) Sponsored candidates : As per Govt. of India rules.

(ii) Civilian candidates (Priority V) : Maximum permissible age will be 30 years on 31 Dec 2022 (DOB on or after 01 Jan 1993).

(e) Candidates must have MBBS Degree registered with State Medical Council or MCI. Students who have completed internship by 31 Jul 2022 are eligible to apply along with provisional registration certificate.

(f) The candidate must have appeared in NEET- PG 2022 and scored a minimum qualifying mark as indicated by MCC. MCC has notified vide their notification dt 19 Oct 2022, that the cut off for the NEET PG 2022 has been reduced to 25th percentile and candidates who became eligible after lowering percentile can register during the mop up counseling for PG courses 2022.

(g) There is no reservation based on caste/ religion etc. and the selection will be purely on the basis of merit.

(h) A candidate who is already pursuing any post graduate course shall not be eligible for admission to another PG course in the academic year 2022.

(j) The number of candidates to be admitted in any discipline will be determined by the number of PG teachers available, the student-teacher ratio and any other criteria laid down by the NMC/ affiliated universities from time-to-time. The exact number of available seats will be communicated to the Counseling committee prior to Counseling session.

(k) Candidates admitted will have a service liability/bond liability binding as per Govt of India instructions on the subject.

3. The order of preference is as follows: -

Priority-III : Medical officers sponsored by Para Military Forces/ other central Govt. of India org.

Priority-IV : Ex-SSC AFMS officers released from service after completion of contractual service, within three years after the release from service (i.e, the date of release should not be before 01 May 2019 for the session starting from 20 Oct 2022.

Priority-V : Civilian doctors, willing to serve in the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) for 05 years after completion of the course subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria. The candidate will have to execute a bond agreement to pay an amount as sanctioned by the Govt. of India at the time of admission, in case unwilling to join AFMS, when offered commission on completion of the course.

COUNSELING

As per the notification of MCI No. MCI-18(1)/2017-Med./128371 dt 31 Jul 2017, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, shall conduct counseling for all Post Graduate Courses (MD/MS) in Medical education institutions of the Central Govt. Hence, all eligible candidates desirous of pursuing PG courses at AFMS institutions for the session 2022-25 will have to mandatorily register on DGHS website for AFMS counseling. Seats will be allotted in order of preference, as enumerated in para 4 above and merit cum choice.

The Counseling will be held physically (offline) on 11-12 Nov 2022 at AFMC, Pune. Priority III, IV & V candidates to report at Dhanvantari, Auditorium at AFMC, Pune on 11 Nov 2022 at 07:30 AM. Medical examination of Priority V candidates will be conducted on 11 Nov 2022 for which they have to report in empty stomach. Counseling for seat allotment for Priority-V candidates will be done on 12 Nov 2022 at 09:00 AM after Med examination on 11 Nov 2022.Any candidate reporting after 09:00 AM will NOT be entertained for the counseling.

ACTION BY CANDIDATES

(a) Candidates desirous of admission to Post Graduate courses at AFMS institutions and fulfilling the initial eligibility criteria as mentioned above have to register for AFMS institutes on DGHS website (MCC website www.mcc.nic.in) for the centralized counseling.

(b) It is responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they meet the requisite eligibility criteria final eligibility will be ascertained at the time of admission.

(c) Civilian doctors will have to undergo medical examination by a duly constituted medical board so as to assess their fitness for commission as per laid down criteria and will be admitted only if FOUND FIT.

(d) List of certificates to be produced/submitted in original by selected candidates on the day of counseling/admission

(i) 06 (six) Passport size photographs

(ii) Print out of registration details page from the DGHS website www.mcc.nic.in for counseling

(iii) NEET-PG 2022 score card as published by NBE

(iv) SSLC/ICSE certificate as valid certificate of proof of age

(v) Nationality certificate/Xerox copy of valid passport and domicile certificate(where applicable)/ Birth certificate endorsed with nationality as India on it.

(vi) First of final year MBBS mark sheets of respective university.

(vii) MBBS pass certificate/degree certificate

(viii) Internship completion certificate.

(ix) Permanent/provisional State Medical Council registration certificate.

(x) Attempt certificate.

(xi) Transfer certificate/Migration certificate

(xii) Educational Gap affidavit, if any

(xiii) Allotment letter which will be published on the website after counseling is over

(xiv) Priority III Candidates

Subject specific sponsorship certificate (as per format available on the website) issued by the respective Para Military/ other Central Govt of India organization is mandatory. This has to be produced at the time of counseling without which candidates shall not be allowed to attend Counseling. During Counseling candidates will be considered eligible for only those subjects, which are mentioned in their sponsorship certificate duly signed by competent authority delegated by the Head of the respective Organization. Original copy of the sponsorship certificate will be required to be submitted at the time of admission.

(xv) Priority IV Candidates

In case of Ex-AMC SSC Officers, release order from Armed Forces Medical Services by DGAFMS/ concerned Medical Directorate and movement order from last unit for proceeding on release will be required to be shown in original at the time of Counseling and admission. SSC Officers in their last year of contractual service will have to produce their original release order from the Armed Forces Medical Services at the time of Counseling without which candidate will not be allowed to attend the Counseling. SSC Officers in their extended contractual service must, in addition, have a copy of the permission letter from the O/o DGAFMS besides the proof of being released from services.

(xvi) Priority V Candidates

Civilian doctors willing to take admission in the AFMS Institutions to pursue PG courses will have to report to AFMC, Pune for physical counseling as mentioned above. All civilian candidates joining AFMS Institutions for PG degree (MD/MS) course for the session 2022-25 will have to execute a Bond of Rs. 54.5 Lakhs (Rupees Fifty Four Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only) as per GSL No 17436/DGAFMS/DG-1D/334/21/D(Med) dt 15 Mar 2021
