AIIMS INI CET January 2024 Session Final Seat Position, List of Qualified Candidates released

Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the list of qualified candidates and final seat positions for the INI CET January 2024 session.

The list is released roll number wise and is based on performance in Online CBT Examination held on 05-11-2023 for admission into postgraduate courses [MD, MS, DM (6 yrs), MCh (6 yrs) and MDS] January 2024 Session at the Institutes of National Importance (INI) for medical education namely, AIIMS-New Delhi and other AIIMS, JIPMER-Puducherry, PGIMER-Chandigarh, NIMHANS-Bengaluru & SCTIMST, Trivandrum.

This result is published based on information provided by the candidates in the online application for INI-CET without any scrutiny regarding detailed eligibility, category certificates, sponsorship certificates, etc., as applicable.

All candidates (including those who have not qualified) have been awarded percentile scores based on their performance in INI-CET held on 5th November 2023. This can be viewed in “MyPage” on the portal after login using Candidate ID and Password.

The Qualifying percentile of the qualified candidates have been determined according to the pattern & scheme of Examination mentioned in the Prospectus for Part – A as per the following detail –

1. For Unreserved (UR), EWS/Sponsored/Deputed/Foreign National/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) - 50 Percentile

2. OBC, SC, ST, PwBD - 45 Percentile

3. Bhutanese Nationals (PGI-Chandigarh only) - 45 Percentile

In cases where more than one candidate secures equal MARKS, the tie has been resolved by applying the following criteria sequentially –

1. Less negative marks

2. Older by age

Status after preliminary verification of uploaded certificate (OBC/EWS) will be provided in email. Validity of category certificate shall be applicable as published in INI-CET INFORMATION BROCHURE (Prospectus Part A) – January 2024 Session on page 26 in Important dates/Notice published. Candidates who have claimed community reservations/relaxation and, fail to provide valid certificates, and are within the cut-off percentile for unreserved seats shall be treated as Unreserved. Candidates who have claimed community reservations/relaxation and, fail to provide valid certificates and are not within the cut-off percentile of unreserved seats shall not be considered qualified even if their roll no appears in this result.

This result is provisional subject to fulfilment of the eligibility criteria as laid down in the advertisement prospectus published. Selection is subject to the verification of eligibility, documents in original, etc., as applicable to the respective INIs as per the prospectus. Any qualified candidate who fails to fulfil the eligibility criteria of respective INIs will not be considered for Seat Allocation in that Institute. In case of any discrepancy detected at any stage, candidature/admission will be liable to be cancelled (even after admission).

Final seat position –

A total of 1452 seats are available for the INI CET January 2024 session.

NIMHANS, BENGALURU –

PWBD category: 5% of the seats are reserved for PWBD (between 40% to 70% disability) as per the Govt. of India regulations in all courses offered at NIMHANS except for DM/MCh courses. (For North – Eastern Domicile, applicants should belong to Domiciles of Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura & Uttarakhand states)

PGIMER, Chandigarh –

1. In the case of Rural Area candidates, five percent of seats shall be allotted on a horizontal basis.

2. As per provisions (Chapter VI Clouse 32) of the rights of the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities Act 2016, five percent seats shall be allotted on a horizontal basis. The disability certificate of the candidate should be issued by the authorised Medical Board of the State Govt./Govt. of India or any other Competent authority authorised in this regard by the State/ Government of India.

3. Five percent seats of the PwBD category and five percent seats of the Rural Area Service (RAS) category shall be allotted on a horizontal basis as per the AIIMS pattern.

Further, there is no change in the seat position of Foreign National / Sponsored/ Bhutanese National candidates.
