New Delhi : The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has officially released the details for the Online Seat Allocation process for M.Sc. Courses – August 2025 session, following the declaration of the entrance exam results t

Eligible candidates could participate in the first round of online seat allocation till 19th July 2025, by filling and locking their choices of AIIMS institutes and preferred specialties through the designated portal.

ELIGIBILITY

All the candidates who have been listed in the Result Notification No. 93/2025 dated 21.06.2025 will be eligible to participate in the 1st Round of the Online Seat Allocation and participation is subject to information & rules prescribed in the said result notification regarding eligibility. Document verification will not be done at the time of online seat allocation process.

However, status of eligibility of OBC(NCL)/EWS category candidate will be sent to their registered Email ID before declaration of result.

PROCEDURE:

The eligible candidates will have to Login themselves on Online Seat Allocation portal.

The link for the portal will be activated only for eligible candidates in the MyPage and password may be reset by click on “Forgot Password” button and also an email containing link for the online seat allocation Portal and login credentials (Login ID and Password) will be sent to the registered email address of the eligible candidates. To retrieve the login credentials, click on the Forgot your login details button in the Registration/login Page.

2. The M.Sc. Courses Online Seat Allocation portal will allow candidates to make choices of seats (a combination of AIIMS and subject/speciality) and arrange them in desired order.The candidates can make any number of choices, can edit the choices and reorder the choices within the date and time specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal.

The Portal will be opened for dates specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal. The choices made by the candidate will be locked either by the candidate OR automatically on the last Date and Time specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal.

The seat allocation will be done in order of merit and according to choices made by the candidates as described in point no 2. The order of seat allocation will be UR/ST/SC/OBC/EWS as per prospectus. When a reserved candidate who is in the combined merit list is being allocated a seat, a higher preference seat, if available in the concerned reserved category, will automatically be allocated. If a subject being allocated as per choice by such a candidate is simultaneously available both in the unreserved and reserved category at the time of allocation of his/her rank, then the unreserved seat will be allocated. The allocation of seats in the reserved category will be done only after the allocation of seats in the unreserved category.

The seat allocation in the 1st Round will be done as per schedule specified in the Important Dates link.

All the candidates who have been allocated seats in the 1st Round are required to login to their MyPage and actively choose one of the following options within date and time specified in the Important Dates link:

Option 1. ACCEPT allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation

Option 2. ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation

[if You choose option-2 and participate in next round and you are allocated another seat as per your choice in next round, then you will have to join the seat allocated during next round and vacate the previously allocated seat. The vacated seat shall be automatically allocated to other candidates in order of merit. Failure to join the upgraded seat in next round of seat allocation shall lead to impositions of penalty of Rs. 1.00 Lakh if you do not join upgraded seat.]

Options to REFUSE the allocated seats are NOT available. Therefore, the candidates are requested to fill the choices carefully and responsibly in choice filling stage. Candidate himself/herself shall be responsible for their choices. Failure to login and selecting an option after seat allocation within date and time specified in the Important Dates link will lead to forfeiture of the allotted seat and render you ineligible for 2nd round.

All the candidates who are allocated seats are mandatorily required (irrespective of whether they choose in Option 1 and 2 as mentioned in point no. 6) to report in-person (for reporting and/or joining), to allocated AIIMS for reporting and joining within the date and times specified in the Important Dates link. The candidates are required to deposit original certificates/Demand Draft of Rs. 1.00 Lakh as specified in result notification of the seat allocation of the 1st Round of online seat allocation at the time of reporting.

Candidates availing constitutional reservation in the 1st Round must show valid proof of their claim for reserved seat at allocated AIIMS when they are depositing original certificates/Demand Draft of Rupees 1.00 Lakhs. In case they do not possess a valid certificate then their claim for the reserved seat allocated in 1st Round will be nullified, and they will be eligible to appear in the 2nd Round as UR candidate subject to cut off in UR merit list provided they deposit the original certificates/Demand Draft at the allocated AIIMS. The OBC/EWS certificate must be valid for admission in Central Govt. Institution.

The validity of OBC/EWS certified shall be as per Prospectus and Result Notification No. 93/2025 dated 21.06.2025.

Candidates availing PWBD horizontal reservation in the 1st Round must show valid proof of their claim for reserved seat at allocated AIIMS when they are depositing original certificates/Demand Draft of Rupees 1.00 Lakhs. In case they do not possess a valid certificate then their claim for the reserved seat allocated in 1st Round will be nullified, and they will be eligible to appear in the 2nd Round as UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS candidate in their respective category as applicable without PWBD reservation provided they have deposited the original certificates/Demand Draft at the allocated AIIMS & is subject to cut off in respective category.

All disputes pertaining to the conduct of the examination by AIIMS and Online Seat Allocation will be subject to the jurisdiction of High Court of Delhi only.

The 2nd round will be initiated after completion of 1st round. Exercising of Choices will benot be opened for 2nd Round of Seat allocation and Choices selected in choice filling Round will be considered for 2nd Round.

Link for the online M.Sc. Courses Seat allocation process

An email containing link for the online seat allocation Portal and login credentials (Login ID and Password) will be sent to the registered email address of the eligible candidates. Further candidate can also login through their MyPage on clicking the link for online seat allocation, the eligible candidates will be directed to online Seat allocation portal where the candidates will have to login by click on “Forgot Password” button for online seat allocation. This password is only to access the online Seat allocation portal.

After login to the online M.Sc. Courses Seat allocation portal, begin the process of making choices and order the choices. The online M.Sc. Courses Seat allocation portal will remain open for date and time specified in the Important Dates link

Making Choices

The choices can only be made after you have logged in using the login credentials. On logging in, confirm your name and Registration ID. Click on Make Choice button to proceed to exercise choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) and their order. To add a choice, choose the AIIMS and the subject/speciality from the two separate drop-down menus and Click Add choice. To remove a choice, click on Delete button against that Choice (AIIMS and subject/speciality). Click on the Save button to save the choices of AIIMS and subject/speciality and their order.

The default order of your choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) will be the order in which you add choice (AIIMS and subject/speciality). To reorder your choices, use up and down arrows OR Drag and Drop the choice (AIIMS and subject/speciality) to appropriate position in the list.

Candidates can make choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality), edit or reorder them as many times they wish UNLESS they have already submitted and locked the choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) OR last date and time. The candidate must save the choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) in case they wish to add/delete/reorder them at a later time point (before the last date and time).

Submitting and Locking Choices

The candidate should click on the Submit and Lock Choices tab and tick the checkbox I accept the declaration and click on the submit and Lock choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality). Note that you will be prompted twice to reconsider and after you have submitted and locked your choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality), you cannot change it for any Round.

In case the candidate has made and saved choices but could not submit and Lock choices, the last saved choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) and their order will be automatically considered as submitted and locked choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality). Viewing and Printing the Choices after submission

The candidate can view the choices submitted and locked by them by clicking on the View choices button after logging in the online M.Sc. Courses Seat allocation portal. Click Print button to take a printout.

Note: Exercising of Choices is one-time exercise before Seat allocation of 1st Round there after same filled choices will be considered for 02nd round.

What is the process of the Online M.Sc. Courses Seat allocation for 1st Round? 

The online M.Sc. Courses Seat allocation will be done in following steps for 1st Round:

1. Login to online seat allocation portal

2. Exercising choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) and Locking the choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) and their order for all rounds of online seat allocation.

3. Announcement of Seat Allocation of the 1st Round.

4. Acceptance of the allocated Seat by the Candidate.

How do I access the Online M.Sc. Courses Seat allocation portal?

How do I make choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality)?

The choices can only be made after you have registered and logged in using the password for the M.Sc. CoursesOnline Seat Allocation portal. On log in, confirm your name and Registration ID. Click on Make Choice button to proceed to exercise choices and their order. To add a choice, choose the AIIMS and the subject/speciality from the two separate drop-down menus and Click Add choice. The last saved choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) and their order will be considered as submitted and locked choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) and their order at the last date and time for Choice filling even if the candidate did not submit and lock the choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) and their order.

Can I add/delete/reorder the choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality)?

The choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) can be edited (add/delete/reorder) ONLY if you have NOT submitted and locked your choice and before the last date and time for choice filling.

Can I change the choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) and their order after I have submitted and locked my choices for that Round?

No, once you have submitted and locked your choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality), they cannot be changed even if it is before the last date and time of submission for of choice filling.

Can I change the choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) for 02nd Round?

No, you cannot change the choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) for 02nd round after you have submitted & locked your choices (AIIMS and subject/speciality) or closing date & time of choice filling whichever is earlier.

Can I view the choice that I have submitted and locked?

Yes, click View choices button after logging in the Online M.Sc. Courses Seat allocation portal. You are advised to take printout of the same. 

What is meant by Active Acceptance of the allocated seat in the 1st Round?

If you have been allocated a seat in 1st Round of M.Sc. Courses Online Seat allocation, then you are required to login within date and time specified in the Important dates link and select one of the following options:

Option 1. ACCEPT allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation

Option 2. ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation

Failure to login and selecting an option within date and time specified in the Important Date link will lead to forfeiture of the allotted seat and render you ineligible for next round.

What happens if I am allocated seat and I do not login and select any of options mentioned in FAQ no 14.

It is mandatory to login after results of online seat allocation and if you do not login and actively select any of the options mentioned in the answers to the FAQ no. 14, then your candidature will be nullified, and you will not be eligible for next Round of online Seat allocation. It is advisable to make these choices as soon as possible within the dates mentioned in the Important Date link.

If I have further queries, what should I do?

Can I change my choices in 2nd Round of online seat allocation?

No, Choices filled in the beginning of online seat allocation and order of preference cannot be changed at later stage after submitted & Lock choices or closing date & time of choice filling whichever is earlier.

What is procedure of 2nd Round or Subsequent Round if any after 1st Round of seat allocation?

There will be two round of seat allocation 1st and 2nd Round. See the information brochure of seat allocation for detailed information. Choices filled in the beginning before 1st Round of Seat allocation will be considered for 2nd Round of online seat allocation. Choices cannot be reordered/edited/changed for 2nd Round of Seat allocation.
