All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna (AIIMS Patna) is an institution of national importance. It was established in 2012 to develop a medical workforce to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education and sophisticated health care. AIIMS Patna has started a new Super-specialty (SS) course, DM Clinical & Interventional Physiology.

Application Fee (Mode of payment: Through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking) –
1. General/ OBC/EWS - Rs. 4000/- + Transaction Charges as applicable (Non-refundable)
2. SC/ST/ Women - Rs. 2500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable (Non-refundable)
3. PwBD – Exempted
The candidates need to fill out the online application carefully. After the final submission of the online application, the candidates are required to take the printout of the application and send the hard copy along with all the relevant documents to – the Assistant Controller of Examination, Examination Section, Admin Block, All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna, Phulwarisharif, Patna-801507, Bihar.
It may not be possible to make changes after registration as indicated. Any Amendment/Rectification/Change/Editing is not allowed in Name, Date of Birth, Subject applied, and Community, i.e., SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/UR & PwBD status after payment of application fee. The application fee may only be paid through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.
All seats are purely unreserved. Candidates under OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PWBD category may be allowed only certain relaxation in age, fee, etc., as expressly mentioned in this information brochure. Candidates claiming any relaxations for the respective reserve category must possess a valid category certificate issued by the competent authority & as per the date mentioned below. The certificate must be in Hindi/English and valid for admission to Central Govt. Institution.
Validity of Category (OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PWBD) Certificate –
1. Any category certificate will be considered valid only if it is in Hindi/English and has been issued before the last online application registration date (i.e., 15.05.2023). Candidates applying under OBC/EWS category must possess a valid OBC/EWS certificate issued by the competent authority for admission in Central Govt. Institution.
2. OBC Certificate - The date of issue of certificate for OBC(NCL) candidates should not be earlier than one year from the last date of submission of online application, which is 15.05.2023, i.e., should be issued between 16.05.2022 and 15.05.2023, (both dates inclusive)
3. EWS certificate - The EWS certificate must be valid for the financial year 2022-2023

Upper age limit and age relaxation -
1. The upper Age limit is 45 years as of the last date of the online application
2. Upper age limit is relaxable for OBC Candidates by a maximum of 3 years.
3. Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST candidates by a maximum of 5 years.
4. The persons with benchmark disabilities shall be given an upper age relaxation of five years for admission to DM/M.Ch. For PwBD candidates as per the Rights of Persons with Disability Act, 2016.
5. Upper age limit is relaxable for Ex-Serviceman and Commissioned Officers, including ECO, and SSCO, who have rendered or released on satisfactory assignment with age relaxation by a maximum of 5 years.
Other terms and conditions -
1. No reservation is applicable in DM/M.Ch. Courses.
2. The candidates must have completed the requisite qualification, degree, and tenure by 15.07.2023. The candidates who are likely to complete their 3 years of requisite qualification, degree, and tenure after 15.07.2023 will not be eligible to appear in this examination.
3. Those candidates in Government service must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the competent authority at the time of counseling.
4. The courses will start from dates mentioned in important dates at a glance.
5. The last date for admission to the DM course will be as mentioned in important dates at a glance. In any circumstances, the last date for admission will not be extended after the dates mentioned above. This includes candidates on the wait list who may be offered a seat if the selected candidates do not join.
Duration of course: The training tenure is three (03) years from the date of joining the course.

The INI-SS (AIIMS Patna) for the July 2023 session is planned to be conducted in the following cities in India -

The candidates must indicate their choice of three cities (in order of preference) for appearing in the examination. The allocation of cities for taking the examination will be based on the completion of the application (first come, first allotted) and the availability of computer nodes in the city. The choice of cities made by the candidates cannot be changed after applying. The applicants should therefore make choices with utmost care.
Declaration of Result - The result will be declared on the website www.aiimspatna.edu.in
Merit List –
All qualified candidates will be assigned a rank and placed in the list in order of overall rank. The merit list will be prepared as per the percentile scores. The candidate must secure a 50th percentile mark to be eligible for admission.
Method of Resolving Ties -
1. According to age (Date of birth), the older candidate shall get preference over the younger one.
2. If the age is the same, the candidate with a less negative score will rank senior.
3. If the negative score is also the same, then a candidate with higher marks (Aggregate) in the MD exam will rank senior.
4. If marks in MD are also equal or are not allotted, then a candidate who has obtained higher marks (Aggregate) in MBBS will rank as senior.
Joining -
The first counseling for admission will take place on 10.07.2023. The selected candidate is required to join the course on or before 15.07.2023. The competent authority may permit an extension till 31.07.2023 based on the merit of each case. If the selected candidates fail to join by the given date and no written request for extension is received by 15.07.2023, it will be assumed that they do not intend to join the course, and the seat will be offered to the next candidate in the merit list.
The last date for admission to the course will be 15.07.2023. In any circumstances, the last date for admission, including the last counseling, will not be extended beyond 31.08.2023.
Course Fee and Emoluments -
