Assam to begin NEET PG 2025 counselling from November 6th, check schedule

Guwahati: The Directorate of Medical Education, DME Assam has announced the schedule for the first round of online counselling for admission to 50 percent PG medical seats in Government Medical Colleges of Assam and Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati, under the Assam State Quota for the academic session 2025.

According to the official notice, online registration for counselling will be open from November 6 to November 9, 2025, followed by choice filling from November 10 to 11. The seat allotment results will be declared on November 15, 2025, and selected candidates must report to allotted colleges between November 19 and 20, 2025.

As per the schedule, the PG Degree/Diploma Round 1 Counselling for 2025-26 session will end on 06th November 2025.

Online Registration for the counselling will be available at the official website of this Directorate from 06/11/2025 and the counselling shall be held as per schedule given below. The selected candidates shall have to get admitted in the respective allotted institutions as directed between 19/11/2025 to 20/11/2025. 

The 1st round online counselling for admission into 50% Post Graduate seats in the Government Medical Colleges of Assam and B.B.C.I., Guwahati under Assam State Quota for session 2025 will be held as per the “Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (Amendment upto date)”. Candidates who appeared in NEET-PG-2025 conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi and who meets the cut-off percentiles in NEET PG-2025 may participate in the online counselling. Further, the name and NEET PG-2025 Roll No. of the candidate must be present in the State provisional merit list published by this Directorate, the notice said
