BOPEE Extends NEET PG 2024 Resignation Deadline
Jammu & Kashmir- The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has extended the last date for submission of resignation by the candidates of National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) (MD, MS & PGD) for the academic year 2024.
According to the notice issued in this regard, the last date for submission of resignation in case of the candidates, who have been granted admission (through allotment/upgradation during the First or Second Round of counselling) 2024 has now been extended upto 24 January 2025(2.00 PM).
The last date of resignation for NEET PG (MD/MS/PGD) 2024 has been extended after the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) revised the NEET PG counselling 2024 schedule.
However, this is the third time the resignation deadline has been extended, previously the resignation deadline was set to 2 pm on January 12, 2025. After this, the resignation deadline for NEET PG (MD/MS/PGD) 2024 candidates was extended to 2:00 pm on January 20, 2025.
The J&K BOPEE had invited offline applications for admission to DNB (Broad Specialty) Courses for the academic year 2024 after lowering the merit of NEET PG Courses. The offline applications for admission to Post MBBS DNB seats, Post Diploma DNB seats and Post MBBS Diploma seats (Broad Specialty) were invited till 17th January 2025 from all the concerned NEET PG qualified in-service candidates/doctors. Therefore, candidates who fall under the revised eligibility criteria are eligible to participate in the next round of counselling.
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) was established by an Act of the State Legislature. Under the Act, the Board is entrusted with the task of conducting entrance examinations and recommending the selection of candidates for admission to various Professional courses in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir or Ladakh.
