Candidature of 215 aspirants who appeared in NEET 2024 on hold
New Delhi: The candidature of 215 students who appeared for the NEET 2024 examination has been put on hold amid an ongoing investigation into widespread malpractices, official sources confirmed. These cases are currently being scrutinised by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), following allegations of leaked question papers and impersonation.
In a parallel action, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed concerned institutions to suspend 26 MBBS students already found complicit and has cancelled the admissions of 14 others for the 2024-25 academic year.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating the cases related to NEET UG 2024 examination, wherein some MBBS students have been found involved in serious malpractices, the official sources said.
These include solving leaked question papers and impersonating other candidates during the examination.
Given the severity of these violations and their potential to undermine the credibility of the medical education system, the National Medical Commission has issued directives to the concerned medical colleges and institutions to suspend the 26 MBBS students found to be complicit immediately.
