CEE Kerala Opens Option Registration for NEET PG Special Stray Vacancy Allotment

Kerala- The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has commenced the option registration for Special Stray Vacancy Allotment to the vacant seats in Postgraduate (PG) Medical Courses for the academic year 2024 in the Medical Colleges in the State. This allotment will be conducted to fill up the currently available vacant seats. 

As per the notification issued in this regard, candidates can register options for any seats they wish to join if allotted. Eligible candidates included in the Kerala State Merit list published by the CEE can register their options through the official website of CEE from 11 March 2025 till tomorrow i.e. 13 March 2025, 5.00 PM.

To login to the home page, candidates need to enter their Application Number & Password in the link ‘PG Medical 2024 Candidate Portal’ provided on the website. By clicking the menu ‘Special Stray Vacancy Registration’ candidates can register their options. The allotment will be based on the merit list and the online options received up to 5.00 PM on 13 March 2025. Candidates who get allotment shall have to join the allotted colleges by paying the fees to the allotted college.

Meanwhile, candidates need to pay the online registration fee of Rs.1,00,000. Those who have paid option registration fees in the third phase, the stray vacancy allotment phase but did not get any allotment need not pay the registration fees again or pay only the balance amount as the case may be. For SC/ST/OE and other candidates who are eligible for fee concession, the registration fee will be half of the above amount. The registration fee paid will be refunded to the eligible candidates after the end of counselling. The registration fee of those candidates who do not join the seat allotted will be treated as a penalty and will not be refunded.

IMPORTANT POINTS

1 Fresh Option Registration is mandatory for participating in the Special Stray vacancy filling phase allotment.

2 All candidates who wish to participate in the Special Stray vacancy filling phase shall have to pay the option registration fee afresh.

3 If any candidate does not join the seat allotted in the Special Stray vacancy filling phase, the option registration fee will be forfeited and such candidates will be liable to pay liquidated damages and they will not be eligible to take the NEET PG exam for the next year, ie, NEET 2025.

4 If any candidate vacates a seat joined in the Stray vacancy allotment or vacates a joined seat (joined in any of the previous phases also) after the Special Stray vacancy allotment process, he/she will be liable to pay liquidated damages.

5 Candidates who joined the allotted seats through the allotments (First, Second, Third or Stray Vacancy Allotment) conducted by CEE and still continuing in the allotted seat are not eligible for participating in the special stray vacancy filling.

6 Candidates who have been allotted seats in the third phase and stray vacancy allotment phase are not eligible to participate in the special stray vacancy filling.

7 Those who vacated the seat earlier will not be eligible to participate in the Special Stray Vacancy Filling Allotment.

8 The options registered in the previous phases will not be considered for allotment in the special stray vacancy-filling phases.

9 Those candidates who are included in the list of ineligible candidates to be shared by the MCC after the AIQ Special Stray Vacancy Round will not be considered for Allotment.
