CENTAC Announces Schedule For Round 2 Registration, Submission Of Course Preferences For NEET admissions 2023

Puducherry: Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has announced the schedule for round 2 registration and submission of course preferences for NEET UG admissions. The seats vacant for round 2 have also been released.

As per the notice, the payment of the registration fee and filling of course preferences for Government Quota & Management Quota can be done up to 30.09.2023, 3.00 pm. All students who are registered with CENTAC, including the candidates allotted during round 1 (Joined / Not Joined) are eligible for round 2 counseling. Candidates can participate in round 2 without any limitation regarding round 1 allotment, if any.

Payment of registration fee for MBBS only –

Medical Education (Amendment) Regulations, 2018, dated 05.04.2018, have notified the registration fee for participating in round 2 of UG Medical Counselling. Accordingly, to participate in the round 2 counseling, the candidates are required to pay the registration fee fixed below –

Puducherry Candidates who opt for both Government and Management Quota seats should pay the registration fee for Management Quota alone i.e., Rs.200000/.

The candidates are requested to transfer the registration fee to the CENTAC account through NET BANKING or by generating NEFT / RTGS challan using the payment option available in the dashboard login credentials and proceed for payment. Read the HELP Instructions carefully before proceeding with payment.

Only those candidates who pay the registration fee, as noted above, will be considered for round 2. However, Candidates who have already been admitted through round 1 counseling can participate in round 2 without payment of the registration fee.

Forfeiture of registration fee -

1. The registration fee will be returned to all those candidates who are not allotted any seat in the round 2.

2. The fee in respect of the candidates who are allotted seats will be retained and will be adjusted with the course fee i.e., in round 2, allotted candidates need to pay the balance course fee by excluding the registration fee.

3. The same registration fee will be forfeited if the candidate who is allotted a seat in round 2 fails to join.

Submission of course preferences -

1. All candidates registering for round 2 should submit course preferences afresh for round 2.

2. In the case of Telugu Minority and Christian Minority Management quota seats, after filling the Telugu and Christian Minorities Management Quota Seats, the remaining unfilled seats will be converted into All India Management Quota and filled in round 2 itself. Accordingly, Course preferences for Management Quota need to be submitted.

3. In round 2, once the candidates express their willingness and if a new seat is allotted based on their round 2 course preferences, then the course in which the candidate was admitted in round 1 will be automatically canceled.

Seats vacant for round 2 –

671 seats are vacant for round 2. MBBS has 378 seats, BDS has 237 seats, BAMS has 42 seats, B.V.Sc.& A.H. has 14 seats vacant.
