Puducherry: Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) invited new applications for MBBS, BDS, and BAMS courses for the academic year 2022-23.

As per the notice, new applications are invited for Government and Self Financing Medical / Dental and Veterinary colleges in the UT of Puducherry under Government / All India (Management) / Minority/ NRI and Self–Supporting (SS) Quota. The candidates can apply till 13th November 2022, 10:00 pm.

Candidates should ensure they enter the All India Counseling Rank against the NEET rank while filling out the application. All Puducherry Residents should submit an Affidavit for residence while filling up the application. The format of the Affidavit is available on the CENTAC website.

Provision to update applied quota for already CENTAC applied candidates can be availed by payment of an additional application registration fee.

Eligibility criteria -

1. The eligibility for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BAMS Degree courses for this academic year shall be based solely on marks obtained in the National Eligibility – Cum- Entrance Test (NEET UG2022) conducted by NTA.

2. Candidates must have individually passed all the subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany Zoology and English.

3. They have completed 17 years of age at admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is being conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD.

NEET-UG counselling is conducted by the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC). It is a common admission portal for all the colleges of Puducherry and is established by the Government of Puducherry. Under this, the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination and appeared in such a qualifying examination are eligible for admission. There are various courses under its umbrella.

Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that CENTAC had invited new applications for NEET PG and MDS counselling for 2022-23. The candidates could till 9th November 2022 at 6:00 pm. The new applications were invited because of the lowering of cutoff marks (vide Ministry of Health & family welfare, Govt. of India letter No. V. 12025/129/2022- DE dated 14th October 2022).
