CENTAC Notifies On NEET 2024 Round 3 Registration, Seat Withdrawal, Course Preferences, all details here

Puducherry- The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has commenced the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) Round 3  registrations. On this, CENTAC has released a notice detailing the Round 3 registration, withdrawal of seats admitted in Round 1/ 2, and submission of course preferences by eligible NEET candidates.

As per the notice issued by the CENTAC, following are the details:

Important dates :

Last date to submit withdrawal request for Round 1 / Round 2 admitted seat

14.10.2024, 5.00 P.M.

Last date for Payment of Registration Fee, submission of willingness and course preferences

14.10.2024, 5.00 P.M.

Candidates can participate in ROUND 3 counselling without any limitation regarding ROUND 1 / ROUND 2 allotment, if any.

EXIT / WITHDRAWAL OF THE ROUND 1 / ROUND 2 ADMITTED SEAT

Candidates who have joined UG NEET-based courses through CENTAC in Round 1 / Round 2 and who are desirous of surrendering / cancelling / withdrawing the admitted seat, may submit their Withdrawal Request Letter through candidate’s Login Dashboard on or before 14.10.2024, 5.00 p.m. After 14/10/2024, 5.00 p.m., candidates can either slide to a different course or retain the admitted course but cannot withdraw the admitted seat.

FRESH CANDIDATES OPTING FOR NRI SEAT

As sizeable number of NRI quota seats are vacant and left out, candidates in Final NRI Quota Merit List may not be sufficient in filling all the vacant NRI quota seats. Hence, online fresh applications are invited from UG NEET – 2024 qualified candidates for admission against NRI Quota vacant seats. However, the candidates opting now will be considered only after exhausting the existing NRI Quota merit list.

EXISTING / APPLIED CANDIDATES OF CENTAC OPTING FOR NRI SEAT

Eligible NRI / OCI/ PIO/Sponsored Candidates who have already applied to CENTAC for UG NEET admission for Government or Management quota ONLY may now submit willingness for NRI quota after payment of balance application fees for admission to the NRI vacant seats. However, the candidates opting now will be considered only after exhausting the existing NRI Quota merit list.

REGISTRATION FOR ROUND 3

For ROUND 3 admission to the first year MBBS, BDS & BAMS (Ayurveda) & B.V.Sc.&A.H. (National SS)/NRI courses in Government and Self Financing Medical, Dental & Ayurveda colleges in the UT of Puducherry, submission of willingness, payment of Registration Fee (for MBBS only) and filling of Course Preferences under Government, Management (MQ), Management (MQ-Telugu Minority), Management (MQ-Christian Minority) and NRI Quota will be enabled from 09.10.2024 to 14.10.2024, 5.00 pm. All students who are registered with CENTAC including the candidates allotted during the ROUND 1 / ROUND 2 (Joined / Not Joined) are eligible for ROUND 3 counselling.

MOST IMPORTANT

⮚ In Round 3, it is mandatory for all candidates to join their allotted seat by sliding from the Round 1 or Round 2 admitted seats.

⮚ If a candidate is allotted a seat in Round 3 counselling and if he / she fails to join the allotted seat, then the entire Registration Fee will be forfeited. Further, he / she will be ineligible for further Counselling (Central / State / UT/ Central Pool Quota).

⮚ A list of such INELIGIBLE candidates will be published on the CENTAC website after Round 3 admission.

⮚ Candidates admitted in Round 1 / Round 2 and retained their seat in Round 3 or admitted in Round 3 will NOT be eligible for participation in further rounds of counselling.

PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE FOR M.B.B.S. ONLY:

To participate in the ROUND 3 counselling, the candidates are required to pay the Registration Fee fixed as below:

The candidates are requested to transfer the Registration Fee to the CENTAC account through NET BANKING or by generating NEFT / RTGS challan using the payment option available in the dashboard login credentials and proceed for payment. Read the HELP Instructions carefully before proceeding for payment.

Puducherry Candidates who opt for both Government and Management / NRI seat should pay the Registration Fee for Management Quota / NRI Quota ONLY i.e., Rs.2,00,000/.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES

1. Candidates opting for M.B.B.S. need to pay REGISTRATION FEE as mentioned above.

2. Only those Candidates who pay the full registration fee (including SC/ST candidates) will be considered for ROUND 3.

ADMITTED CANDIDATES

Candidates who have already been admitted in ROUND 1 / ROUND 2 counselling can participate in ROUND 3 without payment of Registration Fee / payment of balance Registration Fee, if any.

However, U.T of Puducherry SC/ST candidates admitted in Government Quota in ROUND 1 / ROUND 2 should pay balance Registration Fee towards participating in ROUND 3 Counselling.

NOT ADMITTED CANDIDATES

⮚ Those candidates who have paid Registration fee in Round 2 and have not been allotted a seat, need to pay the balance Registration Fee, if any, and submit course preferences.

⮚ For those candidates who paid Registration Fee and were allotted an M.B.B.S. seat in Round 2 but DID NOT JOIN, the Registration fee paid in ROUND 2 is forfeited as per the allotted quota.

Hence, such candidates need to pay the Registration Fee again for Round 3 and submit course preferences.

FORFEITURE OF REGISTRATION FEE

⮚ The Registration Fee will be returned to all those candidates who are not allotted any seat in ROUND 3.

⮚ The fee in respect of the candidates who are allotted seats will be retained and will be adjusted with the course fee, i.e., ROUND 3 allotted candidates need to pay the balance course fee by adjusting the Registration Fee already paid.

⮚ The same Registration Fee will be forfeited, if the candidate who is allotted a seat in ROUND 3, fails to join.

SUBMISSION OF COURSE PREFERENCES

⮚ All candidates registering for ROUND 3 should submit course preferences afresh for ROUND 3.

⮚ In ROUND 3, once the candidate has expressed his/her willingness and if a new seat is allotted based on their ROUND 3 course preferences, then the course in which the candidate was admitted in ROUND 2 will be automatically cancelled.

⮚ Candidate is solely responsible for filling course preferences. No request for change in course preferences will be entertained, once course preferences are submitted by the candidate. No seat will be allotted, if course preference is vacant.

⮚ As per the directions received from RIVER, NRI/OCI/Wards of NRI parents ONLY are eligible for the NRI vacant seats in B.V.Sc.,& AH.

⮚ Sliding will be allowed in Round 3. So, vacancies may arise dynamically at the time of allotment.

⮚ Accordingly, Course preferences for Management Quota and Government Quota need to be submitted irrespective of the vacancies published.
