DME Assam notifies round 1 NEET PG counselling schedule, choice filling from November 21st

Guwahati: Through a recent notice, the DME Assam has published the round 1 counselling schedule for PG medical admissions in the state this academic year.

 The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has released the official schedule for the 1st round of online counselling for admission into 50% Post Graduate (PG) medical seats in Government Medical Colleges of Assam and Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati for the 2025 session. The notice, issued as per the revised MCC schedule, modifies the earlier counselling timeline released later on.

The online counselling link will be activated on the official website of DME Assam from 19 November 2025. Candidates who had already registered earlier do not need to register again and can directly participate in the choice-filling process for Round 1.

The Online choice filling of 1st Round of Counselling. The provisionally selected candidates shall have to get admitted in the respective allotted institutions as directed between 02/12/2025 to 03/12/2025.

The 1st round online counselling for admission into 50% Post Graduate seats in the Government Medical Colleges of Assam and B.B.C.I., Guwahati under Assam State Quota for session 2025 will be held as per the “Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (Amendment upto date)”. Candidates who appeared in NEET-PG-2025 conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi and who meets the cut-off percentiles in NEET PG-2025 may participate in the online counselling. Further, the name and NEET PG-2025 Roll No. of the candidate must be present in the State provisional merit list published by this Directorate, the earlier notice the DME had said.
