DME Gujarat Begins Refund Process Of Round 5 For UG Admission Process For 2022-23

Gujarat: The Director of Medical Education (DME Gujarat) has begun the refund process for candidates of round 5 for the undergraduate admission process for the academic year 2022-23. The list of candidates whose refund process was successful on 1st May 2023 has also been released.

The online module for the refund process started at 10:00 am on 12th May 2023 and continues till 04.00 pm on 19th May 2023. Candidates who have been admitted/have not been admitted in Medical/ Dental/ Ayurvedic/ Homeopathy are eligible for a refund from the tuition fee paid at ACPUGMEC.

The candidates must fill in the online details at http://www.medadmgujarat.org/ug/home.aspx; regarding their refund, Bank Name; Bank Account No.; Bank MICR No.; IFSC No.; Account Holder Name. For the refund of fees paid at ACPUGMEC, the NRI candidates have to fill in the details of the Indian Account. Do not fill in the details of the NRE/NRO account. The refund amount will be paid through Electronic Transfer to their bank account.

The following are the reasons for the failure of the transaction –

1. Mismatch in filled Account Details: Wrong Account No.; Wrong IFSC Code; etc.

2. Dormant/Freeze account due to banking reasons

If any mistake is found in the details of the refund, then the candidates need to report ACPUGMEC through the following e-mail: medadmgujarat2018@gmail.com.

The list of candidates whose refund process was successful on 1st May 2023 has also been released. 61 candidates are there on the list. The detailed list is enclosed in the notice below.

The Government of Gujarat, in the Legislative Assembly, has passed an act, Act No.3 of 2008, called “Gujarat Professional Educational Medical Colleges or Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007,” to make special provision for the regulation of admission in the Professional Medical educational courses in the State and fixation of fees in such colleges or institutions and for matter connected in addition to that. As per the powers conferred to State Government, in Section 20(1) of the said Act, the Government of Gujarat, by way of a notification, had constituted “Admission Committee for Professional Under Graduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC)” to regulate the admission of candidates to the Professional Medical/ Dental/Ayurveda/ Homeopathy/ Naturopathy degree courses.
