DNB Admissions in Tamil Nadu: DME invites applications from service candidates, Apply by August 29
Tamil Nadu: The Director of Medical Education (DME Tamil Nadu) has invited online applications for admission to DNB Broad Specialty Post MBBS, Post Diploma and Post MBBS 2 Years Diploma Courses for Service Candidates.
Details related to application form -
1. The online application form is available on the websites www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in/ www.tnmedicalselection.org. Any change or modification and relevant information pertaining to the admission process will be available on these two websites.
2. As per the notice, the last date for receipt of filled- in the online application is 29th August 2922 (5:00 pm). The candidates must send the application form to The Secretary, Selection Committee, 162, Periyar EVR High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai – 600 010. The date for the rank list, counselling schedule, closure of admission, and commencement of courses will be notified later.
3. Candidates are advised to read the prospectus carefully before filling out the online application form and ensure that no mandatory column is left blank. In the event of rejection of the application form, no correspondence and request for reconsideration will be entertained.
4. Request for change in any particulars in the online application shall not be entertained under any circumstances after submission.
5. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
6. Candidates are advised to submit only one Application Form. If a candidate submits more than one Application Form, their candidature will be cancelled.
Application fee payment –
1. The candidate can pay the fee of Rs. 3000 (Non-refundable) through Debit Card, Credit Card/ Net Banking or through the Demand Draft in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai -10.
2. The last date for submission of the online application form will be up to 5.00 pm on 26th August 2022; there is no provision for candidates to submit their online application form.
3. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar) / Scheduled Tribe candidates of Tamil Nadu native are exempted from payment of the cost of the application.
Documents (Self-attested Photocopies) to be submitted along with the application form –
1. NEET PG 2022-Score Card / DNB PD-CET 2022score card.
2. NEET PG 2022 Admit Card / DNB PD-CET 2022 admit card.
3. MBBS Degree Certificate or provisional pass certificate and Diploma Certificate.
4. CRRI Completion Certificate.
5. Permanent Medical Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India /State Medical Council or provisional Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council.
6. Community Certificate issued by the competent authority indicating the community status of candidates belonging to Backward Community/Backward Community (Muslim)/ Most Backward Community / Denotified Communities/ Schedule Caste/ Schedule Caste (Arunthathiyar).
7. Scheduled Tribe candidates should produce community certificates issued by a Revenue Divisional Officer of the competent jurisdiction.
8. TNPSC/MRB (through competitive written examination) Selection & Posting Order.
9. Nativity Certificate (if applicable) with supportive documents as mentioned in clause 2(b).
10. Recent Regional Medical Broad Certificate for Person with Disabilities.
11. Eligibility Certificate, if applicable.
Candidates are instructed to produce the above-mentioned original Certificates/ Documents at the time of certificate verification. The same photo uploaded in NEET PG 2022/ DNB PD-CET 2022 must be uploaded while filling out the online application. Post Card size colour photograph (4"x6") (size: 50kb to 300kb) to be uploaded.
The duration of the DNB Broad Specialty Post MBBS and Post Diploma Courses 2022 session is Three years. In contrast, the Diploma Candidates who have undergone two-year courses shall be Two years in the same Specialty and Three years in other specialties.
Eligibility criteria –
1. Candidates should be Citizens of India and should have undergone an MBBS course, including the entire Compulsory Residential Rotatory Internship (CRRI) period in the State of Tamil Nadu.
2. Candidates who are Natives of Tamil Nadu and have completed MBBS in other States should furnish their Certificates of Nativity of Tamil Nadu issued by the competent authority and supported by the following documents: Valid copy of Aadhar Card, Driving Licence, Voter's ID/ Passport, and Proof of Parent's Documents is Mandatory (Aadhar Card and SchoolCertificates) If a copy of the supporting document is not produced, then the application will be summarily rejected.
3. Candidates seeking admission in DNB Broad SpecialityPost MBBS and Post MBBS 2 years Diploma Courses2022-2023session have to qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- PG 2022 conducted by the National Board of Examinations.
4. Candidates who have cleared their MBBS Examination and completed/completed the CRRI period on or before 31.05-2022 are only eligible to apply for DNB Broad Specialty Post MBBS and Post DiplomaCourses 2022 session. However, the candidates should possess the Permanent Medical Council Registration Certificate of the States or of India or the provisional Registration Certificate of the Medical Council at the time of the counselling.
5. . Candidates should possess an MBBS / Diploma awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University or any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India, and the candidates who have qualified from other Universities, except Annamalai University should produce eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R. Medical University, Guindy, Chennai- 600 032 at the time of applying.

Non Eligibility –
1. Candidates who join a DNB Broad Specialty Post MBBS, Post Diploma and Post MBBS 2 years Diploma Courses2022-2023 session in any Branch and discontinue the course on any grounds on or after the mop-up round as per guidelines of National Broad of Examinations, are not eligible to apply for the subsequent academic year for any DNB Broad SpecialtyPost MBBS and Post Diploma and Post MBBS 2 years Diploma Courses as per NBE norms. Further, the candidate shall be considered as discontinued and should pay the Discontinuation Fee as per Clause 23(c) of this prospectus.
2. The candidates who take allotments for DNB Broad Specialty Post MBBS, Post Diploma and Post MBBS 2 years Diploma Courses2022-2023 session in any branch in the mop-up round of counselling must join the courses; if not, they are not eligible to apply for the subsequent academic year for any DNB Broad Specialty Post MBBS and Post Diploma and Post MBBS 2 years Diploma Coursessession as per NBE norms for 2022. The candidate shall be considered discontinued and should pay the discontinuation fee per clause 23(c) of this prospectus.
3. Candidates undergoing a Postgraduate Degree / Diploma / DNB courses are not eligible to apply for any Post MBBS, Post Diploma and Post MBBS 2 years Diploma Courses2022-2023 session.
4. Candidates who have already completed a Postgraduate Degree/DNB/Equivalent Courses are not eligible to apply for admission to any other DNB Broad SpecialityPost MBBS and Post Diploma and Post MBBS 2 years Diploma Courses2022-2023 session.
5. A candidate already a Diploma holder is not eligible to apply for Post MBBS 2 years Diploma Course2022-2023 session but can apply for DNB Broad SpecialityPost MBBS and Post Diploma Courses 2022-2023 session.
6. Candidates belonging to other states are not eligible to apply for DNB Broad Speciality Post MBBS, Post Diploma and Post MBBS 2 years Diploma Courses2022-2023 session.
Rank list –
1. The Rank list will be drawn based on marks obtained in NEET PG 2022/ DNB PD-CET 2022.
2. The Secretary Selection Committee will publish the tentative Rank List on the following official websites after completion of scrutiny of all applications received for this academic year 2022.
Counselling procedures –
1. Admission to DNB Broad Specialty Post MBBS, Post Diploma and Post MBBS 2 years Diploma courses shall be made by the online counselling based on rank by applying the rule of reservation/200 point Roster method, whichever is applicable. The detailed online counselling product is available in Annexure.
2. Candidates who have not registered and not made a choice locking in the 1st round of online counselling will be permitted to the subsequent rounds of online counselling. (i.e. second round and mop-up round).
3. A candidate who has taken a seat and not joined/discontinued the course they are eligible for the subsequent rounds of online counselling (i.e. second round and mop-up round).
4. Re-allotment is permitted during the subsequent phases of online counselling only, based on Rank and Rule of Reservation/200-point Roster method, whichever is applicable.
5. Mutual transfer/ Individual request for transfer of institution/college will not be permitted under any circumstances.
6. Candidates selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of reporting to the concerned institution/ Medical College that they are liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
7. If any suppression of facts is found later, the selection/admission will be liable for cancellation during or after the admission to the course based on the declaration. Further, they will not be allowed to apply for the DNB Broad Specialty Post MBBS, Post Diploma and Post MBBS 2 years Diploma courses as per the NBA and State norms for subsequent2 academic years.

Method of selection and admission –
1. DNB Seats in Government Medical Colleges & Government Hospitals: Out of the seats sanctioned for DNB Broad SpecialtyPost MBBS, Post Diploma, and Post MBBS 2 years Diploma courses, 50% of the total accredited NBE, New Delhi allot seats. The remaining 50% of the seats will be allotted under State Quota during the first phase of counselling.
2. Candidates who have selected the seats in the first phase of counselling should receive the provisional allotment order. Candidates should join the course on or before the date mentioned in the allotment order.
3. The selection will be based on rank and applying the Rule of Reservation / Roster method.
