Dr YSR University of Health Sciences Begins Fresh Registration Process For NEET UG Special Stray Vacancy Round

Andhra Pradesh: Dr YSR University of Health Sciences has begun the fresh registration through online application for special stray vacancy round of NEET UG (MBBS, BDS) courses.

As per the notice, the candidates can carry out the registration process till 09.00 PM on 04-11-2023. The candidates need to visit the official website for a detailed prospectus. Online application forms afresh along with uploading scanned original certificates are invited from the eligible candidates for admission into two seats of the MBBS Course under Category- C (NRI) Quota and also 60 seats of the BDS Course under Management Quota [Cat-B1, B2 and Cat-C(NRI)].

Application and Processing fee, including verification fee: Rs.10,620/- (Rs.9000/-+ Rs.1620/- (GST)) plus Bank charges extra can be paid through Debit card / Credit card / Net Banking / UPI. The Application and Processing fee, including the verification fee once paid, will not be refunded or adjusted to a further date. The fee is non-refundable. Hence, candidates are advised to check their eligibility before applying.

The following are the candidates who can apply -

1. Candidates who are not holding any seat (MBBS I BDS) under Dr YSRUHS are only eligible to apply for Special Stray Vacancy Round counselling for MBBS and BDS Courses for the academic year 2023-24, provided

2. Candidates who were allotted any seat (MBBS / BDS), either Competent Authority Quota or Management Quota by Dr YSR UHS, Vijayawada, in earlier Phases of counselling (From Phase-I to Stray Vacancy Rounds) are not eligible to participate under this notification;

3. Candidates whose names were found in the list of candidates under All India Quota from Round 1 to Stray Vacancy Round counselling, already shared by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), are not eligible to participate under this notification

4. Candidates whose names were found in the list of candidates joined in Telangana State share by KNRUHS, Telangana, are not eligible to participate under this notification;

5. If the names of the candidates found in the list of candidates allotted under Special Stray Vacancy Round by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to be shared by MCC on 07.11.2023, they will not be considered under this notification;

6. If it is found that an ineligible candidate has opted, the candidature of such candidates will not be considered for allotments.

Eligibility -

Candidates who secured the Cut-Off marks and more in the NEET-UG 2023 conducted by NTA for the year 2023 and fulfilled the following eligibility criteria for admission into the MBBS Course have to submit their online application by paying the non-refundable application and processing fee, including verification fee through online and upload the relevant scanned original certificates/documents and images of photo/signature required for Management Quota seats.

Educational Qualification –

Candidates should have passed Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination, i.e. qualifying examination, securing not less than 50% of marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Bio-technology, 40% marks in case of OBC/BC/SC/ST, are eligible for admission into MBBS/BDS Courses. They have to fulfil other relevant conditions laid down in these regulations as per NMC (erstwhile MCI)/ Dental Council of India guidelines.

The lower percentile of marks for SC/ST/BC/PH is only for eligibility purposes and will not be applicable for reservation as there are no reservation quotas for these categories. Caste certificates issued by other state Governments will be considered for determining their eligibility for cut-off scores.

Minimum age -

Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as of 31-12-2023. Candidates who have not complete 17 years as of 31-12-2023 are not eligible and need not apply.

Eligibility to category-b2 seats available in private un-aided non-minority dental colleges –

These seats shall be allotted to local candidates of two local areas of Andhra Pradesh, i.e. by order of merit from the merit list displayed under these regulations.

Eligibility conditions in respect of the candidates whose local status in Andhra Pradesh -

Local candidate of Andhra Pradesh means –

1. Candidate who has studied for 4 years in an educational institution preceding the qualifying examination in Andhra Pradesh.

3. Candidate who has studied the maximum period (4 years) in Andhra Pradesh out of 7 years of study period in educational institution preceding the qualifying examination.

5. If a candidate has not studied in the educational institution but resided, then the Candidate who has not studied in an educational institution but resided 4 years preceding the qualifying examination in Andhra Pradesh

7. Candidate who has not studied in the educational institution but has resided in Andhra Pradesh for the maximum period out of 7 years preceding the qualifying examination (of residence)

If the local candidates of Andhra Pradesh are unavailable, then candidates from all over the Country will be considered.

With respect to seats in Minority Colleges, preference will be given to Minority candidates, and if the minority candidates are not available, the same will be allotted to non-minority candidates.

A total of 62 seats are available for the special stray vacancy round. MBBS has 2 seats, and BDS has 60 seats available.

Instructions issued –

The Merit Lists both under Competent Authority Quota displayed on 09.08.2023, and Management Quota notified on 18.08.2023, and its addendum I corrigendum,  including Eligible List for Stray Vacancies notified by Dr YSRUHS, are treated as Null and Void, and only fresh registrations will be considered for Special Stray Vacancy Round Counselling. The same application will be considered for all the rounds of Special Stray Vacancy counseling, if any.

Candidates possessing qualification of the University I Board of an institution outside the Andhra Pradesh State should submit an Equivalence certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh, to the effect that the qualification possessed is equivalent to or higher than the Intermediate examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh, at the time of admission in the College.

Candidates possessing qualification of the University / Board of an institution outside INDIA should submit Eligibility / Equivalence certificate issued by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi and also Equivalence certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, to the effect that the qualification possessed is equivalent to or higher than the Intermediate examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh, at the time of admission in the college.

The Provisional merit position will be displayed on 06.11.2023 on the University website after verification of uploaded scanned original certificates.

Detailed notifications regarding eligibility for exercising web options will be issued separately. Therefore, the candidates are advised to visit the University website regularly for further notifications.

The candidates are hereby informed that if they have secured admission to medical colleges of other States, joined the course, and are involved in blocking the seats under management quota in Dr YSR UHS, the university will initiate legal action, and the same will be informed to the National Medical Commission for further course of action.

Online application forms without uploading mandatory Certificates, Passport-size photos, signatures, and incomplete information will be automatically rejected and will not be considered for determining the Merit position in respective categories using the NEET-UG-2023 Rank.

The mere fact that the Merit position issued to the candidate does not imply that the candidature is accepted by the University, and it does not mean that the entries made by the candidate in the online application are accepted as true and correct.

If the information furnished by the candidate in the application is incorrect or false or found fake and enclosed forged certificates/documents during the admission process or later, then the University will take action that it deems fit as per rules against the candidate, including cancellation of the seat, in the case already admitted, without any notice. The University will take further action against such a candidate.

Registration along with uploading of Scanned Original certificates will be permitted only once, irrespective of the Number of counselling. No separate notification will be given for verification of original certificates. Therefore, the candidates should register and upload all the mandatory Certificates without fail.

Scrutiny of uploaded Original Certificates shall be done by the University and concerned departmental officials. After scrutiny of the application and certificates, the merit list will be released. Candidates are advised to watch the university website regularly for further Notifications/ Instructions.

An in-eligible candidate obtaining a Merit position does not make the candidate eligible for admission

The candidate should compulsorily join in the allotted seat/college if the seat is allotted under this Special Stray Vacancy Round and cannot resign the seat.

If any candidate wants to withdraw from the course after the closure of admissions in the middle of the course, such candidate has to submit his/her request through the Principal of the college concerned along with a course discontinuation fee Rs.3,00,000/- plus GST for MBBS Course and Rs.1,00,000/- plus GST as applicable to the University by way of demand draft in favour of the Registrar, Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences, payable at Vijayawada.

Request for withdrawal from the course/cancellation of admission, if any, received from the candidate directly to the University, the same will not be entertained under any circumstances, and no further correspondence will be entertained.
