Gujarat NEET 2025: 6827 candidates allotted in Round 1, check out closing ranks
Gujarat- A total of 6,827 candidates were allotted MBBS and BDS seats in the Gujarat National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) counselling for the academic year 2025.
Of these, a total of 1,169 have failed to report to the allotted college before the deadline. This was informed by the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC).
The Gujarat NEET UG seat allotment results 2025 were published recently on the official website of DME Gujarat. According to the allotment results, most toppers in the Gujarat NEET state merit list opted to study in BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad, except for rank 4 in the general merit list and rank 1 in the category-wise merit list, who preferred Government Medical College Surat.
While, 1,169 candidates failed to report to the allotted college, 807 seats remained vacant after round 1 due to non-conversion. Of the total, 654 MBBS seats and 153 dental seats remained vacant, reports Career360.
Meanwhile, the Gujarat NEET UG round 2 counselling dates will be issued soon on the official website of DME Gujarat. As per the revised guidelines, candidates will have to register before each round to be considered for allotment. Those who are not satisfied with the current allotment and those who are yet to get admission will be allowed to participate in the upcoming rounds of counselling.
