KEA Begins Mop-Up Round of NEET Counselling, 1352 MBBS seats available for candidates

Karnataka: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the schedule for the mop-up round for NEET UG courses. Second-round exit clauses have also been released.

Detailed schedule –

1. Caution Deposit through online (Rs. 100000) Caution Deposit – up to 19-09-2023

2. Entry of new options by eligible candidates (only after depositing the caution deposit) - From 2.00 pm on 14-09-2023 to 20-09-2023 up to 10.00 am

3. Publication of mop-up round seat allotment results - 20-09-2023 after 9.00 pm

4. Payment of fees by seat allotted candidates - By deducting the caution deposit

5. Deposition of original documents (at KEA, Bangalore in person) along with two sets of attested photocopies of all the documents - 21-09-2023 to 22-09-2023

6. Downloading of admission order after payment and after deposition of original documents - 21-09-2023 to 22-09-2023

7. Last Date for Reporting at the Allotted Medical / Dental College with one set of attested photocopies as per verification slip - 23-09-2023 before 5.30 pm

Candidates who are already admitted to colleges are advised to attend this round only if they are interested and after confirming getting the original documents within the stipulated time from the present college. The seat selected by the candidates in any discipline will get canceled automatically upon allotment of a seat in this round, and for any reason, they will not get back the old seat but to compulsorily join the allotted colleges.

The responsibility of obtaining the original documents from the present college for admitting to the newly allotted college within the stipulated date and time solely lies with the candidates.

Candidates have to compulsory report to the allotted college on or before the last date prescribed, and if a candidate fails to report to the allotted college, they will not have any seat in their favor; they will lose both seats, and the fee will not be refunded. After the seat allotment in this round candidate has to report to the allotted college compulsorily.

Seat available –

1352 medical seats are available for mop-up round. The general seat matrix has 37 seats, HK seat matrix has 3 seats, CAT seat matrix has 1 seat, private CAT seat matrix has 482 seats, and NRI CAT seat matrix has 829 seats vacant. The college-wise detailed seat matrix is enclosed in the notice below.

Second Round Exit clauses for Medical / Dental -

The candidates who have joined/not joined but surrendered before the last day of joining will have to pay a penalty of Rs 5000 + Rs 5000 processing fees. However, the candidates who have joined/not joined but surrendered after the last date of joining will have to pay a penalty of Rs 5000 + Rs 5000 + Forfeiture of fees paid.
