KEA invites applications for NEET PG stray vacancy round, 817 PG medical, 14 DNB seats available

Karnataka: KEA has issued a notification regarding the conduct of the Stray Vacancy Round for admission to PG Medical courses via NEET PG 2025 in Karnataka.

Candidates who are eligible and interested in participating in the Stray Vacancy Round must follow the schedule and instructions mentioned below.

• Only eligible NEET-PG 2025 candidates can participate.

Candidates who have already been admitted through previous rounds (including All India Quota) are not eligible.

Participation in the Stray Vacancy Round is subject to rules prescribed by KEA.

Candidates must deposit a Caution Deposit of Rs. 7,00,000/- to participate in this round.

The caution deposit is refundable as per rules after completion of the admission process.

Failure to join after allotment may lead to forfeiture of the caution deposit.

A. OPPORTUNITY FOR FRESH REGISTRATION TO ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES BUT NOT APPLIED:

In the interest of the candidates, eligible candidates who have qualified in PG NEET 2025 but have not registered with KEA, if they are interested in participating with other eligible candidates for the available seats in the Stray Vacancy round, provision will be provided for registration, to fill the application form and to pay the fee from 27-02-2026 to 01-03-2026 - 6.00 pm.

Further such candidates have to appear for documents verification in person to KEA, Bangalore on 02-03-2026 or 03-03-2026 with all the necessary original documents along with two sets of photocopies. (10.30 am to 2.00 pm). Original documents to be produced for verification are detailed in the e-information bulletin which is hosted on the KEA Website.

B. ENTRY OF FRESH OPTIONS FOR STRAY VACANCY ROUND:

The OPTIONS should be entered afresh, options entered in previous rounds will not be considered. Candidates are advised to keep checking the KEA Website for updates on the availability of seats. Since seats which are cancelled/not admitted / forfeited after the 3rd round of seat allotment are also considered for allotment, candidates are advised to enter their options even if the seats are not shown in the seat matrix but they want to join the college.

Candidates are advised to enter only interested options by keeping in mind the penalty clauses applicable after allotment of seats in the Stray Vacancy round. Further, they are also advised to check the fee structure and then enter the options.

C. PAYMENT OF CAUTION DEPOSIT:

To participate in the allotment of seats in the Stray Vacancy round, candidates must compulsorily pay Rs. 7,00,000/- (Seven lakhs only) as a CAUTION DEPOSIT. After the allotment of seats, the Caution Deposit paid by the candidates will be adjusted towards the fee. If any candidate fails to pay the remaining fee after the allotment of seats in the Stray Vacancy round or does not get admission in the college or wishes to cancel it, the deposit paid by such candidate will be forfeited (as per the rules, the candidate will also have to pay a penalty) and such candidates will have to appear in person before KEA and give the reasons in writing, and appropriate action will be recommended as per the rules.

D. SUBMISSION OF ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS:

It is mandatory for all eligible candidates who have received the verification slip issued by KEA to submit the original documents to KEA to be eligible to participate in the PG Medical Stray Vacancy Round. In case the candidates who have already submitted the original documents to KEA and got it back but are interested in the available seats, they can submit the original documents again on 02-03-2026 or 03-03-2026.

Note: For candidates who are not allotted seats in the Stray Vacancy Round, the Caution Deposit will be refunded by 25-03-2026. For candidates who are not allotted seats in the Stray Vacancy Round, the original documents will be returned on the request of the candidates; the candidate has to collect the original documents in person.

• Photocopies of required documents

• Aadhaar Card

• Verification Slip

• Mobile phone for OTP authentication

• Face verification will be conducted

The college authority will download the College Copy of the admission order. Only then the admission will be treated as complete.
