KEA notifies on Online Special Stray Vacancy Round For NEET Counselling

Karnataka: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the conduction of an online special stray vacancy round for admission to NEET UG (MBBS, BDS) courses for the academic year 2023 - 24.

Detailed schedule –

MBBS –

The candidates should submit the Demand Drafts to KEA on 07-11-2023 between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm and latest, by 2.00 pm on 08-11-2023. The option entry shall be enabled on submission of Demand Drafts only. The option entry closes at 9.00 am on 09-11-2023. The results shall be announced after 4.00 pm on 09-11-2023. The unallotted candidates can collect the Demand Drafts on the same day. The allotted candidates should generate the admission order on the same day and report to the allotted college latest by 5.00 pm on 10-11-2023.

BDS –

Special Stray Vacancy will be conducted on 10-11-2023. (Not allotted any medical or dental seat candidates only) Interested eligible candidates can participate in this round with the requisite fee obtained in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Executive Director, KEA, payable at Bangalore. The candidates should also bring a verification slip, all original documents and such other required to get eligibility for counseling. The candidates should come in person to KEA by 10.00 am on 10-11-2023 with a demand draft for the fees detailed on the website for registration. After registration option entry link will be opened by 10.30 am only to DD-submitted candidates. The option entry link will open for two hours, i.e., from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm. The results will be announced at 3.30 pm on the same day.

The candidates should also bring verification slips, all original documents and such other required to get eligibility for counseling.

The medical and dental seats become vacant after the respective final round seat allotment will be considered for allotment in this special stray vacancy round.

The following candidates will be considered –

1. Candidates who have not been allotted any Medical seat in any of the previous rounds are eligible to participate in Medical seats.

2. Candidates who have been allotted Dental / Ayush / Engineering seats are also eligible to participate in medical seats. However, they are not eligible for a refund of Dental / Ayush / Engineering fees in case they are allotted Medical seats. Also, the Medical seat allotment is final, and the candidates should take the allotted Medical seat. Previously allotted Dental / Ayush / Engineering seats shall be cancelled.

The following candidates are not eligible –

Candidates who get a seat in the All India Special Stray Vacancy round are NOT eligible as per MCC guidelines.

Submission of demand drafts to enter options –

Interested candidates can participate in this round with the requisite fee obtained in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of "The Executive Director, KEN' payable at Bangalore.

If the candidate wishes to opt MBBS Government seat, then they should submit DD for Rs. 60100/- or Rs.141446/- to be eligible for option entry for Government seats only. Similarly, a candidate submitting DD of Rs. 1092852/- shall be eligible for option entry for Government and Private (P) seats, a candidate submitting DD of Rs. 22,15,750/- shall be eligible for option entry for Government and Private (P) seats of Private Universities, a candidate submitting DD of Rs. 40,12,700/- shall be eligible for option entry for Government, Private (P) seats, Private Universities and OTHERs (Q) seats.

KEA has directed the candidates to obtain the demand draft well in advance by considering the bank holidays. They can bring multiple demand drafts equal to the highest fees that they are interested in joining.
