Maharashtra: Through a written notice, the Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has informed about the extension to the state quota seat counseling for NEET-UG and NEET-PG admissions.

As per direction issued by Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, counselling of state quota seats will be conducted after completing All India counselling for respective rounds by Medical Counselling Committee (MMC) of Directorate General of Health Services.

The extension has been given since the MCC of DGHS is conducting the All India UG/ PG Counselling schedule, and state counseling is clashing. MCC of DGHS is receiving many requests from the State DMEs regarding revising the schedule of state counselling.

The schedule of state quota seats for each round will be declared in due course. Candidates are requested to check State CET Cell's official website www.mahacet.org for recent updates.

The state counselling for each round should be conducted once The MCC of DGHS completes all India Counselling for the respective round, so the schedule must be revised for state quota seat counselling.

The candidates will have to wait until further announcements are made regarding the exact date of the schedule.

The selection of the candidate is provisional to be confirmed subject to verification of the original document at the time of physical joining. Candidates are requested to take system-generated receipts from the college of admission. If the candidates fail to join within the prescribed period, they will be considered not joined and will not be considered for further CAP rounds.

The 1st selection list for PG courses was released on 28th January 2022, and for UG courses, it was released on 1st February 2022. The NEET counselling is done for admission into UG and PG medical courses. For admission in UG courses, the candidates will have to clear NEET-UG, and for PG courses, the candidates will have to clear the NEET PG.
