As per the notice, round 1 of the counselling schedule got over. However, seats remain vacant after round 1, so round 2 is being conducted to fill the vacant seats.
The following candidates are eligible for rounds 2 –
1. Registered candidates who did not fill in choices in Round 1.
2. Registered candidates who participated in Round 1 but did not get any seat allotted in round 1.
3. Registered candidates whose seats were allotted in Round 1 were cancelled during the document verification due to their invalid/wrong claim on reporting for admission to the selected Institute. Still, the candidate is otherwise eligible for selection with a change in the invalid/wrong claim. For such a candidate, selection during the first round will not be valid, and they will be eligible only for available seats during the second round with a corrected claim.
4. Candidates who reported/joined at the allotted Institute during the joining period of round 1 of allotment did not fill out the Status Retention Form.
5. Candidate who did not join the allotted seat during Round 1.
6. Candidate who has joined and resigned upto the last date of joining Round 1.
7. Candidate will have to fill in fresh choices for Round 2. Round-1 choices will be considered null & void.
8. If a candidate is not interested in Round 2, they should not fill preferences for Round 2, and such a candidate who has joined during Round 1 will retain their Round 1 seat.
Seat resignation details -
1. The joined candidates of MBBS/BDS courses can resign from the seat of Round 1 up to 5.00 pm on 20/11/2022, after which they will be considered as part of round 2, and the same rules will apply to them as applicable for round 2 of counselling.
2. Candidates should ensure that they receive a system-generated acknowledgement from the college, failing which the cancellation will be treated as 'Null & Void'. In such a case, the candidate will be deemed to have occupied the seat still, and the rules of round 2 will apply. Any letter other than system-generated acknowledgement will not be considered eligible.
3. If candidates have not filled status retention and are not upgraded, they cannot resign the seat allotted in round 1 and will have to retain the seat. In such a case, the rules of round 2 will apply since the candidate has exercised choices and participated in round 2. There is no option of resignation if the candidate is not upgraded in round 2.
4. Round 1 joined candidates who neither participate in round 2 nor resign from the seat of round 1 will be considered part of round 2 after the stipulated time. Hence, candidates who desire to resign their seat in round 1 should do so before the stipulated time.
