Maha CET Cell begins choice filling for round 1 NEET counselling, issues merit list, instructions for MBBS, BDS candidates

The final merit list and reject list have also been released for candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programs. A total of 35,235 candidates have been included in the final merit list for Maharashtra NEET UG 2026. 234 are in the List of not-qualified candidates of NEET-UG-2026 Dated 26/08/206.

Meanwhile, choice filling has begun. According to the important notice issued by the CET cell in this regard, all the candidates participating in the process should note that the preference form, once filled, can be edited multiple times within the scheduled time frame, i.e. up to 29th August 2026 05.30 pm, by unlocking it using the OTP generated on their registered email and mobile. Therefore, they can edit the choices after the declaration of the revised final merit list if they wish.

Through the notice, the CET cell has also mentioned a few important instructions for the choice-filling process. Below are the instructions-

1 Candidates can fill minimum 1 and maximum all colleges during the process.

2 Private colleges have State Quota and Institute Quota. The fee structure for both quotas is different; hence, candidates should ensure that they select the correct quota while filling the choice.

3 Some colleges have both MBBS and BDS courses. Therefore, it is important that candidates verify the course selected before submitting the form.

4 Candidates should align the preferences in order, starting from the most preferred college and quota at the top, followed by the next preferred college and quota and so on.

5 Once candidates have filled all their preferred choices, they should lock the preference form.

6 The preference form, once submitted and locked, can be edited multiple times within the scheduled time by unlocking using the OTP generated on the registered mobile and email.

7 The last saved/locked preferences will be considered for the allotment process.

8 Candidates who fail to lock the preference form should note that at the end of the schedule, the last filled preferences will be auto-saved. No change will be allowed after the given time.

9 Candidates are advised to complete the process well within the time to avoid any last-minute technical glitches or delays due to internet or other similar problems.

10 It is the responsibility of the candidates that their individual login details are not shared with any other person. If the choices are edited or filled wrongly through the login, it will be considered as filled by the candidate himself and this office will not be responsible for any loss due to wrong choices filled from the candidate login.
