Maharashtra NEET PG Admissions: 17 percent Increase In Number Of Seats This Academic Year
Maharashtra: As many as 2212 postgraduate seats are available in the state quota across government and private medical colleges this year in Maharashtra.
There has been an increase of 17% more seats as compared to last year. 1416 seats are available for government colleges and 796 for private colleges, according to the data of maha CET Cell.
The Commissioner, State CET Cell, Mumbai has been designated as Competent Authority for selection and admissions at (i) Government/ Corporation / Government Aided Medical colleges and (ii) Unaided Private & /Minority Medical colleges for the year 2022-2023, as per provisions of section 2(e) and section 10(4) of the Act (for Unaided Private & Minority Medical colleges) and Government Resolution No. MED-1015/CR 396/15/Edu-2, dated 16/12/2015 (for Government / Corporation Medical Colleges).
These admissions will be done on the available postgraduate seats at disposal of Competent Authority in State Quota Seats of Government/Corporation/ Government Aided / State Quota seat for Central Government/Unaided Private & Minority Medical Colleges from the State of Maharashtra. The Competent Authority will supervise and control the selection process by implementing these procedures.
