MBBS Admissions 2021: CENTAC releases schedule for NEET counselling mop-up round, Check out all details

Puducherry: Through a recent notice, the government of Puducherry Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has informed about the mop-up round of NEET Counselling for NRI, Govt. quota seats and management quota MBBS admissions 2021..

Mode of Counselling

Mop-up Counselling will be done in hybrid mode- Online and Offline (Physical) modes. Candidates can choose either Offline or Online mode. Mop-up counselling for NRI, Govt. Quota seats and Management Quota MBBS seats will be done on 28-03-2022 (Monday). Link will be sent to all the Candidates who deposit fee money in advance and opt for online mode of counselling. In case of difficulty, if any, in participating through web conferencing due to connectivity issues, the candidates will be allowed to call on the phone numbers 9566688077 / 9042412110 and choose the seats.

Mop-up Counselling Schedule:

Video Conferencing Facility is available region wise. Candidates with connectivity issues/ without proper facility to participate in video conferencing alone can assemble at the following centers:

Eligibility / Sliding

Students who have joined colleges till 2nd round counselling are also eligible for Mop-up Counselling. This is done based on the consideration that a candidate should be able to choose the college of his/her choice based on merit and without blocking any seat. Sliding is allowed.

Students who were allotted seat in 2nd round but have not joined are eligible for Mop-up counselling but the registration fee paid during 2nd round will be forfeited.

Seat Matrix:

Updated seat matrix will be published soon in the CENTAC website. Candidates are requested to evaluate their chances based on the vacancies and CENTAC will not be responsible for not calling anyone for counselling. 

Fee Payment

Fees: During Mop-up counseling, seats will be allotted only after the entire tuition fee is paid, otherwise seat will not be allotted.

For this purpose candidates can either transfer the fee in advance to CENTAC Bank account using dashboard through NET Banking/NEFT/RTGS/CREDIT CARDS/DEBIT CARDS or deposit DD (Payable to Convenor, CENTAC) for fee amount before start of counselling.

In case of NEFT/RTGS transfer amount credited will be refunded, if seat is not allotted. In case of DD, the same will be returned. For the fee amount, students are advised to see the fee structure on the website.

Students who have already paid full fee need not pay again. Students who wish to participate for Govt Quota and Management Quota can pay only the fee prescribed for Management Quota. Students who wish to participate for Govt Quota alone need to pay fee prescribed for Govt Quota only. Students who had paid registration fee during 2nd round and who were not allotted with any seat, can pay the balance fee after adjusting the registration fee. Candidates who wish to participate for NRI Quota should pay the prescribed fee only in dollars and bank payment details for the same is available in their dashboard.

In case the seat is not allotted, the amount will be refunded within one week to the same account. 

Forfeiture of fees in case of Non-joining:

If the student fails to join the allotted college after Mop-up counseling, and if the College is not able to fill the seat from the 1:10 list sponsored by CENTAC, then entire tuition fee will be forfeited. Where the college is able to fill the seat, the fee paid after deducting Rs.2,00,000/- will be refunded after 6 months' time.

Therefore, it is advised that the candidates make a considerate decision before taking the seat in mop up counselling.

Joining Date: Students should join on or before 3.00 pm 31-03-2022. 

Reservation:

MOP-UP Counseling will be done in sessions. In first session reservation will be allowed and all Candidates in the respective Category will be called. Thereafter unfilled reserved seats will be converted into unreserved seats and offered as per Merit. For convenience, MOP -UP Counseling will be done separately for Government and management Quota seats. Conversion of Vacant Seats will be done as per the guidelines issued by the Health Department, Govt. of Puducherry.

Instructions to Candidates:

Candidates will be called in the order of Merit. Please see the seat matrix, evaluate your choices and accordingly decide for participation in counselling. Proof of Payment of tuition fees should be uploaded using dashboard login credentials.

Documents to be kept ready for counselling:

1. Result/Rank letter issued by NBE/NTA

2. Documents for reservation claimed

3. Proof of fee paid (RTGS/NEFT reference or DD)

Expressing Willingness for 1:10 list.

After MOP UP Counseling, CENTAC will be sponsoring the list of interested candidates to the colleges against the incidental vacancies that arise after MOP UP counseling in the ratio of 1:10 i.e., if 5 Vacancies are there then list of 50 candidates in order of merit will be sponsored.

Candidates who are already registered with CENTAC will be required to enter their choice to participate in the 1:10 list to be sponsored to the colleges after MOP UP round, for incidental vacancies, if any. Candidates who have already joined will be excluded from the 1:10 list. Please note that the names of the Candidates who have not expressed willingness will not be sponsored.
