MBBS: NMC permission to 3 more medical colleges in Andhra, NTRUHS notifies on round 2 web options, seats

Andhra Pradesh- Through an official notification, Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) has informed that the National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi, has permitted one new Medical College and the enhancement of MBBS seats in existing colleges.

Therefore, as per the notification, the Competent Authority has decided to notify the certain instructions in connection with exercising the web option for above said newly permitted college, i.e. Anna Gowri Medical College and Hospital, Parameshwaramangalam, Puttur Mandal, Tirupati District, Andhra Pradesh, under Phase-II of counselling for admission into the MBBS Course under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2025-26.

With NMC permission, the Government Medical College, Ongole now has 150 (Enhancement of seats from 120 to150)- 30 Additional MBBS seats were permitted after Phase-I Counselling; Anna Gowri Medical College & Hospital, 100- New College permitted after Phase-I Counselling and Santhiram Medical College, Nandyala now has 200 MBBS seats (Enhancement of seats from 150 to 200)- 50 Additional MBBS seats were permitted after Phase-I Counselling.

Meanwhile, the exercise of the web option process will start at 03.00 PM today, i.e. 26 September 2025, upto 06.00 PM on 28 September 2025. Below are the details-

UNIVERSITY FEES

The candidate can download the provisional allotment order on payment of the University Fee of Rs 10,600/- through the payment gateway. The students can view the college-wise list of selected candidates on the website. Candidates who are allotted a seat in Phase-I and paid the University fee need not pay again. The University fee once paid shall not be refunded or adjusted to a future date under any circumstances.

FRESH ALLOTMENT DURING PHASE II

Candidates who have been allotted a seat shall report at the allotted college within the reporting schedule by downloading the allotment order on payment of the University fee of Rs 10,600/- along with all original certificates and pay the tuition fee to complete the admission process, failing which the candidate will forfeit the admission and also not eligible for further phase(s) of counselling.

NOT ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES FOR PHASE II OF FURTHER PHASES OF COUNSELLING

1 Candidates who availed the Free Exit facility under the Competent Authority Quota after Phase-I Counselling are not eligible for Phase-II of further phases of Counselling under Competent Authority Quota.

2 Not Reported candidates under Phase-I CQ and not exercised to opt for the new College.

3 Candidates who availed Retain / continue in the reported seat of Phase-I Counselling and did not exercise to opt for the said new college under this notification.

4 Candidates who did not exercise one-time web options and did not opt for all the options, including the new college under this notification.

NOT REPORTED CANDIDATES UNDER PHASE I OF COUNSELLING

1 Candidates who were allotted a seat under Phase-I of Counselling but did not report can opt for the said new college only, duly giving their willingness through their login ID and in such cases, the respective candidates will be considered for allotment in Anna Gowri Medical College & Hospital, Parameswaramangalam only, as per rules.

2 However, these candidates have no right to claim the earlier not-reported seat.

3 Phase-I Not Reported candidates who are not interested in giving their willingness to opt for said one new college under this notification are not eligible for Phase-II or further phase(s) of counselling under Competent Authority Quota.

CANDIDATES WHO COULD NOT EXERCISE ONE-TIME WEB OPTIONS, INCLUDING THE CANDIDATES WHO HAVE EXERCISED WITH COMPLETE WEB OPTIONS BEFORE PHASE I OF COUNSELLING

1 Those candidates who could not exercise the onetime web options, including the candidates who have exercised with incomplete web options under Phase-I Counselling, can now exercise onetime web options for all colleges, including the said new college (Male candidates -35 options and Female Candidates-36 options) for consideration in the Phase-II Counselling against the available vacancies.

2 Candidates who fail to exercise web options for all the colleges as prescribed above under this notification are not eligible for Phase-II or further phase(s) of counselling under Competent Authority Quota.

NOT ALLOTTED CANDIDATES UNDER PHASE I COUNSELLING

1 Candidates who have exercised one-time web options before Phase-I Counselling but not allotted any seat can now rearrange the said new college only at the appropriate place as a better option by dragging and dropping the same wherever they are interested.

2 Under any circumstances, the candidates will not be permitted to rearrange the existing sequence of one-time web options already exercised before Phase I of Counselling, except for the above rearrangement of said one new college.

3 Those candidates who are not interested in opting for the college can ignore the rearrangement, but the said college will be considered as the last option, as explained under Point No.1
