MCC NEET AIQ Counselling 2021: 6167 MBBS, 476 BDS, 487 BSc Nursing up for grabs
New Delhi: A total number of 6167 for MBBS, 476 for BDS and 487 seats for BSc Nursing courses are available for NEET AIQ Counselling 2021. The confirmation to this effect comes from a recently released Round 1 seat matrix by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on its official website.
The MCC round 1 registration of candidates has begun from 19th January 2022 and will end on 24th January 2022. The counselling is conducted for admission to 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, all deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutes, AIIMS and JIPMER colleges.
While the verification of candidates will be done by institutes between January 25 and January 26, the round 1 seat allotment result will be declared on January 29. MCC NEET UG counselling for the AIQ seats will be held in four rounds instead of the earlier two rounds -- AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Round and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round.
According to the seat matrix, 6167 for MBBS, 476 for BDS and 487 seats for BSc Nursing courses are available for NEET candidates this year for MCC All India Quota counselling.
Category Wise breakup
MBBS
For MBBS AIQ admissions, the MCC is going to conduct counselling for 2382 seats of General Category seats, 124 of General PwD, 585 for General EWS PwD, 1580 for OBC, 82 for OBC PwD, 877 for SC, 46 for SC PwD, 438 for ST and 23 for ST PwD categories.
BDS
The MCC is conducting the NEET counselling for 476 BDS seats including 187 of General Category, 9 of General PwD, 2 for General EWS PwD, 121 for OBC, 6 for OBC PwD, 68 for SC, 3 for SC PwD, 34 for ST and only 1 for ST PwD categories.
BSc Nursing:
For 487 BSc Nursing AIQ seats with respect to MCC NEET Counselling, 193 belong to Open Category, 9 are for Open PwD, 47 for General EWS, 1 for General EWS PwD, 125 for OBC, 5 for OBC PwD, 70 for SC, 2 for SC PwD, 34 for ST and only 1 for ST PwD categories.
