MCC releases NEET UG counselling 2026 video tutorial for candidates
New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has advised all candidates participating in the NEET UG admission process this year to watch the official MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 Video Tutorial before proceeding with the online registration process.
The tutorial has been designed to help candidates understand every stage of the counselling process and avoid common mistakes during registration.
According to the notice issued by the MCC in this regard, the video tutorial provides step-by-step guidance on the online registration process, choice filling, document requirements, and other important aspects of the counselling procedure. MCC has strongly encouraged candidates to familiarise themselves with the complete counselling workflow to minimise errors during registration and subsequent stages.
The counselling committee has also advised candidates to carefully read all instructions, eligibility conditions, and counselling guidelines provided in the MCC UG Information Bulletin before submitting their registration details.
Further, MCC has informed candidates that those facing technical issues or counselling-related queries can seek assistance through the 24×7 toll-free helpline or send their queries via email. Candidates have been asked to mention their application details while seeking support to facilitate prompt resolution of their grievances.
The notice has been issued ahead of the commencement of NEET UG Counselling 2026, with MCC urging aspirants to make use of the official resources available on its website to ensure a smooth and error-free registration process.
As per the schedule, the counselling for the students who qualified the UG medical entrance test shall commence on 04th August for the All India Quota/Deemed/Central Universities seats, whereas the State counselling shall commence on 13th August, 2026. MCC has announced that the academic session for the UG courses shall commence on 1st September, 2026.
ROUND I: As per the NEET UG 2026 Counselling schedule for the AIQ seats, verification of the tentative seat matrix by the participating institutes and NMC will be done on August 04th. Registration and payment for Round I shall commence on August 05th and continue until 12th August, 2026.
The choice filling and locking by the candidates will be done between 06th August to 18th August and the processing of seat allotment will be conducted between July 29 and July 30. Results for Round I of AIQ Counselling shall be published on 17th August and candidates can report/join their seats from 18th August to 22nd August, 2026. Institutes will verify the data of the joined candidates on 23rd August 2026.
