MCC releases NRI list of eligible candidates for round 1 NEET MDS Counselling 2026

The list, issued for Round 1 of MDS counselling, contains the roll numbers and names of candidates whose NRI claims have been accepted provisionally by MCC of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

According to the list, MCC has currently provisionally converted 40 candidates from the Indian category to NRI after scrutiny of the documents submitted by them.

For candidates hoping to compete for NRI quota MDS seats, inclusion in the list is an important step. This conversion is not final admission approval and will remain subject to verification of original documents at the time of reporting.

The candidates have been converted provisionally from Indian to NRI specifically for MDS Counselling 2026-27 on the basis of scrutiny of the documents sent by them to MCC of DGHS.

This provisional conversion enables eligible candidates to be considered under the NRI category during the counselling process, subject to the applicable MCC rules and availability of NRI quota seats.

If a candidate is allotted an NRI seat, the same original documents on the basis of which provisional NRI status was granted must be produced at the time of reporting. Failure to produce the original documents may result in the admission being cancelled.

Candidates whose names appear in the list should therefore ensure that all supporting documents submitted during the NRI verification process are readily available in original form before proceeding for admission.

The publication of the list does not by itself guarantee an NRI seat. Seat allotment will continue to depend on the candidate's NEET MDS merit, choices exercised, eligibility and availability of seats under the NRI quota.
