MCC Reschedules Stray Round of NEET SS Counselling 2024 Following SC Directive on Tamil Nadu In-Service Seats

New Delhi- The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has rescheduled the stray rounds of NEET SS counselling for the academic year 2024. This comes after the directions of the Supreme Court of India to conduct Round-2 for the vacant in-service seats of Tamil Nadu.

Through a notice, MCC has informed all the participating Super Speciality candidates/ institutes that the Stray Round of Super Speciality Counselling 2024 "has been rescheduled in compliance to the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India to conduct Round-2 of vacant in-service seats of Tamil Nadu."

The round 2 is being conducted by Tamil Nadu state counselling authority from 01st to 11th July 2025. However, the Last date of joining & admission is 10th July, 2025. Below is the complete schedule-

Hence, the Stray Round for All India Super Specialty counselling will commence after completion of Round-2 of Tamil Nadu in service seats on 11th July, 2025. Following this, a fresh schedule for Stray Round will be published on MCC website

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that after pointing out that more than 1500 super-speciality seats are lying vacant even after two rounds of National Eligibility-Entrance Test Super Speciality (NEET-SS) 2024 Counselling, doctors urged the authorities, including the National Board of Examinations (NBE), to lower the cut-off before the next round of counselling.
