MCC revises NEET SS counselling 2025 round 2 schedule after Delhi HC allows candidates to re-register, Check details

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has revised the schedule for Round 2 of All India NEET SS Counselling 2025 after the Delhi High Court allowed petitioner candidates to re-register and participate in the counselling.

In view of the court's directions, MCC has withdrawn its earlier notification and announced a fresh timeline for Round 2 registration, choice filling and seat allotment.

According to the MCC notice, the Delhi High Court, while hearing Writ Petition (Civil) No. 11097/2026, titled "Sunil & Another vs Medical Counselling Committee", permitted the petitioner candidates to re-register and participate in Round 2 of NEET SS Counselling 2025. Taking note of the observations made by the Court, the Competent Authority decided to withdraw the notification issued on August 3 with immediate effect.

MCC has further informed that the portal for resignation will remain open for all candidates till 4:00 PM on August 7, 2026. Thereafter, fresh registration and choice filling for Round 2 will resume from 10:00 AM on August 9, 2026, as per the revised counselling schedule uploaded on the official MCC website.

Along with the notice, MCC has also published the revised timeline for Round 2 of All India Counselling for DM, MCh and DNB SS courses. As per the updated timeline, registration will now remain open until 6:00 PM on August 10, 2026, while the Round 2 allotment result will be declared on August 13, 2026.

The revised schedule also provides a fresh resignation window for candidates wishing to surrender their Round 1 allotted seats. Such candidates may resign from 10:00 AM on August 6, 2026, to 4:00 PM on August 7, 2026.

Following this, the seat matrix will be verified by participating institutes on August 8, 2026. Candidates can complete registration until 6:00 PM on August 10, while the payment facility will remain available until 9:00 PM on the same day.

The choice-filling facility will remain open until 5:00 PM on August 11, 2026. Choice locking will be available from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on August 11. The processing of seat allotment will take place on August 12, followed by publication of the result on August 13, 2026.

Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 will be required to report to their respective institutes between August 14 and August 20, 2026. The reporting window will remain open for seven days. Below is the detailed schedule-
