Madhya Pradesh: The Director of Medical Education (DME Madhya Pradesh) announced the schedule for the mop-up round and college-level admission against stray vacancies for MBBS and BDS admission.

DME has allocated 1081 seats for private and government colleges for MBBS and BDS mop round. In this academic session, maximum seats remain vacant in private colleges compared to government colleges for both MBBS and BDS courses. Government colleges have 15 seats (MBBS 5 and BDS 9), and private colleges have 1066 (MBBS 276 and BDS 790) seats.

Eligibility criteria –

1. The candidates must be 17 as of 31st December 2022.

2. The candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English as core subjects.

3. The candidates must be domiciled in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

4. The candidates have to be NEET UG qualified.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is being conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD. The Directorate General of Medical Education conducts the counselling process for NEET UG admissions.

The medical education department plays a pivotal role in developing medical and paramedical personnel to cater to the state's health needs. The directorate facilitates comprehensive medical and dental education via various medical, dental and paramedical colleges in the state.

Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that NMC had given renewal permission to fill 150 MBBS seats at Sukh Sagar Medical College Jabalpur. The Director of Medical Education (DME Madhya Pradesh) announced this through a written notice.
