Nashik: The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has announced the commencement of its 26th Advanced Course in Health Sciences Education Technology (HSET), aimed at enhancing the teaching competencies of faculty members across various health science disciplines.

The goal of the course is to impart advanced educational skills to teachers in positions of academic responsibility, so that they can make educational improvements in their own institutions.

Last date of submitting application form is 12th April 2026.

Course Description

Intensive interactive sessions on Health Sciences Education topics during contact session

• Participants will conduct an “Education Innovation Project ‟ at their home institution within six months.

• Certificate of course completion will be awarded ONLY after submission of completed project report and assignments.

Course Duration: 6 months

Includes:

6-Day contact session consisting of full day sessions

Followed by a six-month educational innovation project

Dates of contact session: 27th April to 2nd May 2026

Venue:

Institute of Medical Education Technology and Teachers’ Training Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Dindori Road, Nashik 422004

Course fees: Rs. 4400/-

Eligibility and selection criteria

i. Faculty from Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy and Nursing. (Disclaimer- Kindly note that the MUHS Advanced course in HSET is NOT the same as the NMC Advanced Course in Medical Education- ACME).

ii. Should have done Basic workshop on medical / health sciences education technology.
iii. Should have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
iv. Desirable to have an additional academic responsibility (Co-ordination of Undergraduate / Postgraduate Teaching, Member of Board of studies or any academic body / Member of Medical Education Unit / Member of Curriculum committee/ Member of Health Science Education Technology Unit / Dean / Principal/Vice Principal).
v. Applications should be forwarded with the recommendation letter of the Dean/Principal
vi. Applications will be reviewed by the scrutiny committee based on details provided in the application form. Selected participants will be contacted for confirmation of registration.

Course completion criteria

i. Mandatory participation on ALL SESSIONS on ALL DAYS of the contact session.

ii. Participants will conduct and complete an “Education Innovation Project" at their home institution within six months.
iii. Certificate of course completion will be awarded ONLY after submission of completed project report and assignments.
