NBE Notifies on Counselling, Joining for In-Service DNB, Diploma Seats 2024 Admissions, details

New Delhi- The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued a notice regarding the counselling and Joining of candidates selected for In-service seats (DNB/ Diploma) through the admission process conducted by the State Govt./ ESI/ Railways/ PSU/ AFMS – 2024 admission session. The notice has been issued for the candidates, Institutes and Hospitals participating in Counseling for 50% of NBEMS State Quota seats reserved for In-service candidates.

As per the notice, DNB (Post MBBS/ Post Diploma/ NBEMS Diploma) seats are retained by the State Govt./ ESI/ Railways/ PSU/ AFMS are to be filled through counselling conducted by the counselling authority of the concerned State Govt./ ESI/ Railways/ PSU/ AFMS. Therefore, all the concerned State Counseling Conducting Authorities must strictly adhere to the guidelines and Counseling schedule published by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the State authorities.

After allotment of the seats by the counselling authority, all the candidates are required to report to the allotted institutes/ hospitals in person along with the prescribed documents, in original, and “Seat allotment letter issued by Counseling Authority” and the “Relieving Letter” issued by the Parent Organizations.

Meanwhile, all hospitals/ institutes must verify the original documents prescribed in original at the time of reporting and the candidate to the hospital along with the “Seat allotment letter issued by Counseling Authority” and the “Relieving Letter” issued to In-service candidates by their Parent Organizations. Kindly ensure the fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility criteria by the candidate for admission to the allotted seat.

The medical examination of the candidate shall be done by the Medical Board of the concerned NBEMS-accredited institute. Candidates found fit in the medical examination shall be allowed to join the course. No candidates shall be permitted to join the allotted In-Service NBEMS seats beyond the time in the Counseling schedule published by MCC for State Counseling.

However, in case of not being relieved from the Parent Organization within the stipulated time for reasons beyond the control of the candidate, a request to allow delayed joining needs to be furnished through the institute allotted along with the documents in support. The date of joining shall be after relieving from the organization.

Unlike, the previous academic year, where the allotment data of candidates allotted In-service NBEMS seats through State Quota Counseling were required to be uploaded by the hospitals/ institutions contemporary to AIQ NEET PG Counseling, for the 2024 admission session, the hospitals/ institutes shall be able to upload the allotment details of such candidates only after the conclusion of all rounds of AIQ NEET PG 2024 Counseling conducted by MCC.
