NBE notifies schedule, seat matrix for sponsored DNB post MBBS final mop up round counselling, details
New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the schedule and indicative seat matrix for the Final mop up Round of counselling for Sponsored Post MBBS DNB seats for the 2025 admission session.
According to the official schedule, candidates can fill choices and pay the first-year course fee between May 26 and May 29, while the seat allotment result will be announced on June 2, 2026. Selected candidates will have to complete physical joining at their allotted hospitals by June 8, 2026.
The schedule of Final (Mop-up) Round of the online Centralized Merit Based counseling for 2025 Admission Session is as follows:

Only those candidates who are already registered for the counseling and have not been allotted any seat during the First and/ or Second round of the Counseling, will be eligible to participate in the Final (Mop-up) Round of counseling.
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in any of the previous rounds of the counseling but:
• have opted not to freeze the same, or
• have not paid the First Year Course Fee after freezing the seat, or
• after payment of First Year Course fee fails to join the institute allotted, or
• after payment of First Year Course fee fails to produce his/her original documents for verification by the institute, or
• after payment of First Year Course fee fails to fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed during the verification of documents
shall also NOT be eligible for participation in mop-up round of Counseling.

Candidates who fail to join their allotted institution in the Final (Mop-up) Round of counseling by the stipulated date i.e. 08-06-2026 will lose their Sponsored Post MBBS DNB Seat & their First Year Course Fee shall be forfeited.
