NBE Releases Final Round Schedule for FNB Centralised Merit-Based Counselling, details

New Delhi- The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the schedule for the final (Mop-Up) round of the online Centralised Merit Based counselling for admission to the FNB (Fellow National Board) program for the 2023 admission session.

As per the handbook of centralised merit-based counselling for admission to the FNB programme for the 2023 admission session, the final round (mop-up) was completely discretionary. However, NBEMS has now decided to conduct a final (mop-up) round for the candidates.

According to the schedule, the final (mop-up) round process is already been started from August 1, 2024, and will continue till August 13, 2024. The schedule of the Final (Mop-up) Round of the online Centralised Merit Based counselling for the 2023 Admission Session is as follows-

Processing of the Allotment.

6th August, 2024.

Result of the Allotment.

7th August, 2024.

Physical joining at the allotted Institute.

7th – 13th August, 2024.

In the final round (mop-up) of online centralised merit-based counselling for admission to the FNB Programme for the 2023 admission session, only those candidates will be eligible to participate in the said counselling who are already registered for counselling and who have not been allotted any seat during the 1st and 2nd rounds of counselling.

In addition, candidates who have been allotted seats in the 1st and 2nd rounds of counselling but due to the following reasons they will not be considered eligible to participate in the mop-up round of counselling. The reasons are-

1 Have opted not to freeze the same.

2 Have not paid the First Year Course Fee after freezing the seat.

3 After payment of the First Year Course fee fails to join the institute allotted.

4 After payment of the First Year Course fee fails to produce his/her original documents for verification by the institute.

5 After payment of the First Year Course fee fails to fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed during the verification of documents.

Meanwhile, after the final (mop-up) round of counselling, if candidates fail to join their allotted institute by September 13, 2024, they will lose their FNB seat and their first-year course fee will also be forfeited.
