NBE Releses Schedule For Mop- up Round Of Counseling For Sponsored DNB Post MBBS Seats

Delhi: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the schedule of the final (mop-up) round of counseling for admission to Sponsored DNB (Post MBBS) seats for the 2023 admission session. The provisional list of eligible/ not eligible candidates has also been released. 

The detailed schedule –

1. Login by candidates and Payment of 1st Year Course Fee to participate in the Final Mop-up Round - 15th – 19th December 2023 (Up to 05:00 PM)

2. Filling of Choices/options for the Final (Mop-up) Round of counseling - 15th – 19th December 2023 (Up to 05:00 PM)

3. Processing of the Allotment - 20th December, 2023

4. Result of the Allotment - 21st December, 2023

5. Physical joining at the allotted hospital - 21st to 29th December 2023

As per the handbook of counseling for Post MBBS Sponsored seats of the 2023 admission session, all such candidates who have not been offered any seat during the First or Second round of counseling are eligible for the final round (mop-up) of counselling.

The following candidates were allowed to register -

All such candidates who are now declared qualified in NEET-PG 2023 pursuant to the reduction of qualifying percentile for NEET-PG 2023 to ‘Zero’ across all categories and fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned in NBEMS notice dated 04.07.2023 regarding admissions to Sponsored DNB (Post MBBS) seats were allowed vide NBEMS notice dated 09.11.2023 to register for the mop-up round of the counseling by way of submission of a “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) issued by their cadre controlling authority as per prescribed format latest by 23rd November 2023 through Communication Web Portal (CWP) of NBEMS.

Fresh registration for the mop-up round, however, was not permitted to those who already had the opportunity/eligibility to participate in the counseling in response to NBEMS notice dated 04.7.2023 and chose not to participate or were declared ineligible due to non-submission of NOC as per prescribed format.

Candidates must carefully go through the flowchart indicating the process of allotment of Sponsored DNB (Post MBBS) seats in the final (mop-up) round.

Candidates who do not join their allotted institute in the final (mop-up) round of counseling by the stipulated date, i.e., 29-12-2023, will lose their Sponsored DNB (Post MBBS) Seat & their Fee shall be forfeited.

Candidates should ensure before participating in the counseling that they fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria and are in possession of the required documents. Candidature of such candidates who, at the time of their admission, would fail to submit documents in support of their fulfillment of prescribed eligibility criteria shall be canceled.
