NEET 2024 Provisional Answer Key OUT, Here's how to challenge

New Delhi- The National Testing Agency (NTA) has uploaded the Provisional Answer Keys, Scanned Images of the OMR Answer Sheet and Recorded Responses for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 on the NTA official website.

On this, NTA official notice has informed that to facilitate the candidates, a scanned image of the OMR Answer Sheet has been sent to the registered e-mail address given by the Candidates at the time of submission of the Online Application Form of NEET (UG) – 2024. This has been done as the candidates can make an online challenge against the provisional Answer Key by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹ 200/- per answer challenged, within a specified period as indicated below-

With this, candidates can also submit representation against the OMR grading by paying a nonrefundable processing fee of ₹ 200/- per question challenged.

Regarding the payment, candidates must process the fee payment through a debit card/Credit Card/Net Banking by 31 May 2024 upto 11:50 P.M. However, no challenge will be entertained without receipt of the processing fee. Also, the Challenges will not be accepted through any other mode.

“Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the panel of subject Experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Key, the result will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge. The key finalised by the Experts after the challenge will be final”, the notice added.

The detailed information along with the procedure for the challenge of Answer Key and Recorded Responses are enclosed below-

PROCEDURES FOR CHALLENGE OF ANSWER KEY

1 Please go to the website NTA official website.

2 Click ‘Apply for Answer Key Challenge (s)’.

3 Select the Test Booklet Code.

4 Login with the Application Number and Date of Birth and then enter the Security PIN as displayed and submit.

5 A following Questions will be displayed in sequential order:

NEET (UG) – 2024

50+50+50+50 Questions

Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology

6 The number next to the Question under the column ‘Correct Option ’ stands for the most appropriate Answer Key to be used by the NTA.

7 If the candidate wishes to challenge this option, they may use any one or more of the Options given in the next four columns by clicking the check box.

8 If the candidates want to upload supporting documents they need to select ‘Choose File ’ and upload (all documents to be put in a single PDF file).

9 After clicking the desired option, for Physics / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology for NEET (UG) - 2024, ‘Save your Claim’ and move to the next screen.

10 The candidate will see a screen displaying the challenges.

11 Click on ‘Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finally’.

12 Select the Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee @ ₹ 200/- for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.

13 After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt.

PROCEDURES FOR CHALLENGE OF OMR ANSWER SHEETS GRADING AND RECORDED RESPONSES

1 Please go to the website NTA official website.

2 login with the Application Number and Date of Birth and then enter the Security PIN as displayed and submit.

3 Select the “OMR Challenge” in the left pane.

4 Click on the OMR Challenge Link.

5 A following Questions will be displayed in sequential order:

NEET (UG) – 2024

50+50+50+50 Questions

Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology

6 Candidates need to Select the Question(s) for which they wish to challenge the Recorded Response.

7 The number next to the Question under the column ‘Captured Response as per OMR Sheet’ stands for the option opted by the Candidates in the OMR Answer Sheets.

8 Once the candidate selects any Question for Challenge, they will see three options under the column ‘Candidate’s Claim’.

9 If the candidate wishes to challenge this option, they may use the Options given in the ‘Candidate’s Claim’ column.

10 After clicking the desired option, for Physics / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology for NEET (UG) - 2024, scroll down, ‘Submit’, and move to the next screen.

11 The candidate will see a screen displaying the challenges.

12 Click on ‘Submit' and Pay Fee Finally’.

13 Select the Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee @ ₹ 200/- for each question/grade challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.

14 After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt

NTA conducted the NEET UG 2024 for more than 24 lakh candidates at 4750 different Centres located in 571 Cities throughout the country including 14 Cities outside India on 05 May 2024 (Sunday) from 02:00 P.M. to 05:20 P.M. (IST).
