NEET 2025 counselling stray vacancy round begins in UP, check out schedule, guidelines
Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh (UPDGME) has commenced the Stray Vacancy Round of UP National Eligibility and Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) counselling for the academic year 2025 for MBBS and BDS admissions under the state quota in government and private medical and dental colleges.
According to the schedule released by the UPDGME in this regard, the online registration and document upload process for the stray vacancy round has already begun from November 11, 2025, 12:00 PM and continues until November 14, 2025, 11:00 AM, a total of three days.
Meanwhile, candidates can also deposit registration and security money during the same period, i.e. November 11, 12:00 PM to November 14, 2:00 PM. Below is the detailed schedule-

It is to be noted that only those candidates will be eligible for choice filling who have completed the online registration process, whose original documents have been verified online, and who have deposited the required security amount.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION/GUIDELINES FOR CANDIDATES PARTICIPATING IN THE STRAY VACANCY ROUND UNDER UP NEET UG 2025
1 Only those candidates will be eligible for the stray vacancy round who have not been allotted any seat in any round of counselling of UP NEET UG-2025.
2 Candidates admitted through All India Counselling of NEET UG-2025 and any other state counselling round will not be eligible for the stray vacancy round.
3 Admitted/Not Reported after allotment/Resigned candidates from the first, second and third rounds of UP NEET UG-2025 are not eligible for the stray vacancy round.
4 To participate in the stray-vacancy round, all eligible candidates must submit a separate registration fee of ₹2,000 and submit a new registration fee. The registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
5 Candidates registered and unallocated in the counselling of first, second and third rounds, who have already deposited the earnest money, will not be required to deposit the earnest money again to participate in the counselling of the stray vacancy round.
6 Those candidates who have not participated in the counselling of previous rounds and are participating in the stray-vacancy round counselling for the first time will be required to deposit the security amount as per the rules.
7 Candidates admitted to the BDS course through counselling of the first, second and third rounds of UP NEET UG-2025 will be eligible for choice filling of the MBBS course in the stray vacancy round. Such candidates will ensure to deposit the security amount payable for the MBBS course in the Government/Private sector through online mode as per the rules.
8 Candidates must submit their security deposit online. Candidates who fail to submit their security deposit will not be eligible for choice filling-

9 Candidates who wish to participate in counselling for both Government and Private (Medical and Dental) seats will have to deposit a security amount of Rs. 2,00,000/-.
10 Candidates who wish to participate in counselling for seats in both Government and Private Dental Colleges will have to deposit a security amount of Rs. 1,00,000/-.
11 Candidates participating in the counselling are specifically advised to use their own bank account while depositing the earnest money. After the counselling of all the cycles is over, the earnest money of the unallocated and admitted candidates will be returned as per rules to the same bank account from which the earnest money has been paid.
12 Eligible candidates for NEET-UG 2025 must select a nodal centre for online document verification at the time of registration.
13. For online verification of records, the following documents will be uploaded by the candidate-
i High School Marksheet/Certificate.
ii Intermediate mark sheet.
iii Reservation certificate (OBC, SC, ST, EWS, & EX. Army, NCC, FF, PWD) (if applicable).
iv Domicile Certificate (if applicable).
14 Reservation (OBC, SC, ST and Economically Weaker Section) related all certificates will be valid only if issued by the competent authority of Uttar Pradesh on the format prescribed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
15 Reservation certificates of Other Backwards Classes and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of Uttar Pradesh will be valid only on or after April 1, 2025.
16 Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category are advised to get their reservation certificate issued by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on the updated format, so that the online verification of the certificate can be done conveniently.
17 Reservation certificate will not be accepted in the form of a certificate to be submitted for appointment to posts under the Government of India.
18 Candidates from reserved categories from states other than Uttar Pradesh will be considered unreserved. Such candidates will not be eligible for reservation benefits.
19 If any candidate does not take admission after allotment from the stray vacancy round, the earnest money deposited by such candidates will be forfeited and they will be debarred from UP NEET UG Counselling 2026-27.
