Mumbai- With the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 results already declared, aspirants are now eager to assess their chances of securing admission to top-tier institutions of India.

On this, Grant Medical College is considered one of the well-known government medical colleges in Maharashtra. The institute admits around 250 MBBS students annually through the NEET UG counselling conducted by the Maharashtra CET cell.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible to secure a seat in one of Maharashtra's prestigious and oldest medical colleges, one must fulfil the mentioned criteria-

1 NATIONALITY- The candidate must be an Indian Citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India.

2 AGE LIMIT- Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2024.

3 ESSENTIAL ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS- The candidates who have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology individually, securing a minimum of 50% in 10+2, are eligible. For the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), there is a relaxation of 10%, so they have to secure a minimum of 40% to be eligible. General physically handicapped candidates have to secure a minimum of 45%. Aspirants who are appearing in the 10+2 examination in 2022 may also appear provisionally, subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

Grant Medical College (GMC) is located in the Byculla area of ​​South Mumbai. GMC in Mumbai was established in 1845. It is one of the earliest institutions to start formal medical education in India. Currently, the college is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) and continues to attract top NEET UG scorers for government MBBS seats in the state.
