NEET 2025: MCC adds TN Medical College's MBBS seat into stray vacancy round seat matrix
New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has added one MBBS seat from Government Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, to the seat matrix of the Stray Vacancy Round of the NEET UG Counselling for the academic year 2025.
According to the official notice issued by the MCC in this regard, the addition follows a recent order of the Hon’ble High Court of Judicature at Madras, which had earlier directed the withholding of the seat. The withheld seat has now been reinstated in the All India Quota (AIQ) pool for the OBC-PwD category.
MCC stated that candidates participating in the Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling 2025 can now include this seat during choice filling on the MCC portal. This addition ensures that all eligible candidates from the OBC-PwD category get a fair opportunity to compete for available AIQ seats in the final round of NEET UG 2025 counselling.
