New Delhi - Through a notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed all participating institutes and candidates in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) Counselling for the academic year 2025 about the addition of 2,720 MBBS seats ahead of Round 2.

The MCC mentioned in the notice that the National Medical Commission (NMC) has provided a seat matrix of newly recognised/ increased MBBS seats in medical colleges across India.

Therefore, MCC has asked all the institutes where there has been an increase in seats after the start of Round 1 of UG Counselling 2025 to contribute their new seats on the intramcc official portal for Round-2 of counselling as per the matrix provided by NMC.

The notice also informed that any excess seat given by any institute which doesn’t match with the NMC matrix is likely to get ‘CANCELLED’. Therefore, any complication arising out of such action will be the sole responsibility of the institute and legal issues, if any, may be dealt by the concerned institute itself.
