NEET counselling 2022: UP DGME begins Round 1 choice filling, check out details
Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate General of Medical Education (UP DGME) informs about the online counseling schedule for NEET UG round 1.
Detailed schedule –
1. Choice filling – 3rd November 2022 – 7th November 2022, 11:00 am
2. Results – 8th November 2022/9th November 2022
3. Allotment order download and admission – 9th November 2022 – 13th November 2022
Instructions –
1. To participate in online counseling, log into http://dgme.up.gov.in.
2. During registration, the candidate must use their NEET UG roll number and email id.
3. The candidates must pay Rs 2000 online as a registration fee.
4. The candidates will have to pay Rs 30000 for government quota, Rs 200000 for private quota medical, and Rs 100000 for private quota dental as a security deposit online.
5. The candidates with a disability will have to produce the disability certificate from the registered centers of the government of India.
Eligibility criteria for admission –
1. Candidates should be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2022.
2. Candidates should be bonafide residents of the state.
3. Candidates have to be NEET UG qualified.
4. Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ Biotechnology. English is a compulsory subject.
The medical education department plays a pivotal role in developing medical and parparamedicalrsonnel to cater to the state's health needs. The department also has a role to play in establishing and maintaining well-equipped teaching institutions, which are the premier referral centers from peripheral hospitals. Research is another area of activity for the medical education department. The directorate facilitates comprehensive medical education in Uttar Pradesh via various medical, dental, and parparamedicallleges. On the other hand, it also provides standard medical facilities to the patients.
The medical education department was bifurcated in 1981 from the department of medical health services. The separate directorate of Medical Education was established in 1994. It has been functioning as a separate directorate for the last 16 years. It controlled Medical Colleges and attached teaching hospitals.
Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that DGME extended the date of document submission for NEET UG candidates for round 1. The candidates could submit the document by 1st November 2022, 2:00 pm. As per the notice, the previous date was 31st October 2022. One more day of extension has been given to the candidates because DME couldn't finish the verification process till 31st October 2022.
