NEET PG 2022: MCC releases list of joined Round 1, 2 state counselling candidates, issues notice for candidates who joined both state, AIQ seats

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) has released the data of NEET PG candidates who have joined their seats in their respective states after appearing for the state counselling sessions. Along with this, the MCC has released the list of candidates who are joined through state counselling and have also participated in the Mop Up Round of All India Counselling being conducted by the MCC of DGHS, and for such candidates, the MCC has warned of removal from the said data if they fail to resign their joined seat.

In compliance to the directions issued by Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Contempt W.P (C) No. 289 of 2022 Shubhankar Patnayak Vs. K. Ramesh Reddy & Ors. the data of candidates joined through All India Quota or state quota has to be shared between Medical Counselling Committee and state counselling authorities Round-2 onwards.

Further, as per directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Contempt Petition No. 671 of 2022 (Dy. No. 35224/2022) , all states and union territories had to complete second round of state counselling by 06:00 P.M on 16th Nov., 2022 and submit the data on the same day to the Medical Counselling Committee for the purpose of uploading the data.

The data as received from various state counselling authorities is enclosed in the document attached below, state wise.

The MCC has warned that the candidates who are joined through state counselling and have also participated in Mop Up Round of All India Counselling being conducted by MCC of DGHS will be removed before seat processing of Mop Up Round which is likely to be conducted on 18th Nov., 2022.

It is also pertinent to mention that as per data received till date, there are 43 candidates (Annexure-II) who have joined seats in Round-1 or Round-2 of All India counselling conducted by MCC of DGHS as well as in state counselling conducted by state counselling authorities.

"Such candidates should either resign their seat joined through state counselling by 06:00 P.M of 17.11.2022 and ensure that their names are deleted from the list of candidates joined through respective state counselling authorities failing which their names would be removed from the All India Quota joined candidate's data of MCC of DGHS and they will have no claim on their joined seat," the MCC notice further read.
